EDD disability payments delayed for a month after sending docs. No updates. What to do?
I haven't received my disability payments for a month now. I sent in the requested documents two weeks ago, but I haven't heard anything back. No confirmation, no updates, nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do during my call with them?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've been trying for days but can't get through. 😤

Good luck! Bring snacks and a good book, you'll be on hold forever 🙄

lol true that. I once waited 3 hours only to get disconnected right when someone picked up. 🤡

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your docs, including proof you mailed them (tracking number, receipt, etc.) 2. When you call, be polite but firm. Ask if they received your docs and what the current processing time is. 3. If they haven't received them, ask for an email address to send digital copies. 4. Get the name and ID of the person you speak with. 5. Ask for a callback number or extension if possible. 6. If they can't help, ask to speak with a supervisor. 7. After the call, send a follow-up email summarizing what was discussed. Stay persistent! It's a pain, but you'll get through eventually. Good luck!

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take to get through?

It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there before sending anything out.

I did, but there's nothing new there either. It's like my docs went into a black hole or something.

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have to try a few days in a row, but it's way easier to get through.
