EDD disability application sent in June, no response yet. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I sent in my disability application back in June and haven't heard a peep from EDD since then. It's been months! I've got the tracking number to prove they received it, but radio silence after that. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice on how to get an update or speed things up? I'm starting to worry...

Ugh, classic EDD. They're slower than molasses in January. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've been trying to call, but it's like winning the lottery to get through. Any tips on the best time to call?

Early morning, right when they open, is usually your best bet. Set an alarm and start dialing at 7:59 AM. Good luck!

Calling is useless. I tried for weeks and got nowhere. EDD is a joke 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

100% legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny.

20 bucks to talk to EDD? That's highway robbery! 😤

I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. Time is money, right?

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things along with EDD. It worked for me when I was stuck in limbo for months.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. 2. Send a follow-up letter via certified mail. Include your original application date and tracking number. 3. If you can get through on the phone, ask for a supervisor and get their name and ID number. 4. File a complaint with the state ombudsman if you don't get a response within 30 days. 5. Consider contacting your local media if all else fails. Sometimes public pressure can work wonders. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure they have your correct mailing address. I've heard horror stories of people missing important docs because of address mix-ups.

Pro tip: If you do manage to get through on the phone, be super nice to the rep. They deal with angry people all day. A little kindness can go a long way in getting help.
