EDD claim open for 6 weeks, no money received after quitting due to long commute. Help!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but voluntarily quitting might disqualify you from benefits. Did you explain the situation fully when you filed?

have u tried faxing them? I know it sounds crazy but I got a response within a week after I faxed my info

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out they flagged my account for "voluntary quit" and needed more info. Once I got through and explained, it took about 2 more weeks to start getting paid. Dont lose hope!

This is why we need universal basic income. The whole system is a joke.
