EDD case approved but week pending due to missed phone review - What to do?
Has anyone else had their case approved but the week is still pending because they never called for the review? I'm so frustrated. They were supposed to call me to review my case, which was approved, but now the week is just sitting there pending. What should I do?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. My case was approved weeks ago, but I'm still waiting on that stupid phone call. It's like they forgot about us or something. 🙄

•How long have you been waiting? I'm going on 3 weeks now and starting to lose my mind.

•Almost a month for me. This is ridiculous. We shouldn't have to chase them down for our own money!

•A MONTH?! 😱 That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does. I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about 2 hours.

•$20 tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone we should be able to reach anyway.

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Beats wasting hours trying to get through myself. 🤷♂️

Here's what worked for me: I emailed my state representative. They have staff dedicated to helping with unemployment issues. Within a week, I got a call from EDD and my issue was resolved. Give it a shot!

This whole system is a joke. They approve us then leave us hanging? How are we supposed to pay bills? 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they don't even care that people are struggling.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 20 minutes on hold. The rep was able to push my pending week through to paid status. Good luck!

Okay, let me break this down for everyone dealing with this issue: 1. First, don't panic. Your case is approved, which is the hardest part. 2. Document everything. Write down dates, times, and names of anyone you speak to. 3. Try calling early in the morning or late in the day. These are often less busy times. 4. Use the online portal to send a message about your pending week. Sometimes this can trigger a review. 5. If you can't get through, consider reaching out to your local state representative or senator's office. They often have direct lines to EDD. 6. Join Facebook groups or forums dedicated to unemployment issues in your state. Sometimes you can get insider tips or hear about glitches in the system. 7. If all else fails, consider using a paid service like Claimyr to get through to a rep. 8. Once you do get someone on the phone, be polite but firm. Ask for a supervisor if the rep can't help. 9. Request that they expedite your case due to financial hardship if applicable. 10. Follow up regularly until the issue is resolved. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! You're entitled to these benefits.

•Quick question - for step 4, where exactly in the online portal can you send a message? I can't find that option.

•It's usually under 'Contact Us' or 'Send a Message' in your account dashboard. If you don't see it, they might have disabled that feature temporarily.
