EDD Account Number Never Arrived After 1+ Month - What to Do?

I applied for unemployment benefits on August 13th and still haven't received my EDD account number in the mail. It's been over a month now, and I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? I'm planning to call EDD, but I'm not sure what to say or how to handle the situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! The EDD system is such a mess rn. I had to wait almost 2 months for my account number. Here's what I did: 1. Keep calling EDD (I know, it sucks) 2. Have all your personal info ready when you call 3. Ask them to verify your identity and resend the account number 4. Make sure they have your correct mailing address Good luck! 🍀

Yeah, they asked for my SSN, drivers license number, and the date I filed my claim. Just have everything ready and you should be good to go!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg
