Where to find DE 2525FX form for PFL on EDD website?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get the right forms to fill out for paid family leave. I know I need the DE 2525FX form, but I can't seem to find it on the EDD website. Has anyone gone through this process recently? Where exactly can I locate this form? Any help would be appreciated!

I just went through this process last month! The DE 2525FX form is definitely on the EDD website, but it can be a bit tricky to find. Here's a step-by-step guide: 1. Go to the EDD website (www.edd.ca.gov) 2. Click on the 'Forms and Publications' link at the bottom of the page 3. In the search bar, type 'DE 2525FX' 4. It should be the first result that pops up 5. Click on the form name to download it Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions about the process.

•@profile 3 Yes, there should be a Spanish version! When you're on the form page, look for a dropdown menu that says 'Language' or 'Idioma'. You should be able to select Spanish there.

Pro tip: Always save a copy of any form you submit to EDD. You never know when you might need it again, and it's easier than hunting it down on their site every time.

Hey, I found a method to get someone on the phone at EDD. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait for the call back?

•@profile 11 It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still beats calling yourself all day!

Anyone else notice that the EDD seems to update their website like every other week? I swear the layout changes every time I log in 🤔

LPT: If you're having trouble finding forms on the EDD site, try using Google instead. Just search for 'EDD DE 2525FX form' and it often pops right up!

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they need a law degree to understand half the stuff on these forms? 🤯

•Pro tip: Call your local assemblymember's office. They often have staff who can help explain this stuff!

Friendly reminder to everyone: make sure you're using the most up-to-date version of the form! EDD sometimes updates them and using an old version can delay your claim.

Has anyone else noticed that the form looks different on mobile vs desktop? Make sure you're using a computer if possible, it's way easier to fill out!

Just wanted to add that if you're still having trouble finding the form after trying the steps mentioned above, you can also try going directly to the "Disability Insurance" section of the EDD website. The PFL forms are sometimes grouped there since PFL is part of the State Disability Insurance program. Also, bookmark the form page once you find it - saves so much time for future reference!

•That's such a helpful tip about the Disability Insurance section! I never would have thought to look there. Definitely bookmarking once I find it - you're so right about how much time that saves. Thanks for sharing!

Another tip that helped me - if you're still struggling to find forms on the EDD site, try clearing your browser cache and cookies first. Sometimes the site gets wonky and doesn't load properly. Also, I've noticed the search function works better if you use just the form number (like "2525FX") instead of the full name. The site's search can be pretty picky about exact wording!

•Great advice about clearing the cache! I've had similar issues with the EDD site being glitchy. Another thing that's worked for me is trying different browsers - sometimes Chrome works better than Safari or vice versa. The tip about using just the form number is gold too - I'll definitely remember that for next time!

I just went through this same headache last week! One thing that really helped me was using the site map at the bottom of the EDD homepage - it has direct links to all the forms organized by category. You can find the DE 2525FX under "Forms by Number" and it takes you straight there without having to navigate through all the confusing menus. Also, pro tip: once you download it, save it with a clear filename like "DE2525FX_PFL_Form_2024" so you can find it easily on your computer later!

•This is such a lifesaver! I had no idea about the site map at the bottom - I've been clicking around randomly for ages. The tip about saving the file with a clear name is brilliant too. I'm definitely going to use that "Forms by Number" section you mentioned. Thanks for sharing this, it's going to save me so much time and frustration!

Hey there! I see lots of great advice here already, but I wanted to share another method that worked for me recently. If you're on the EDD homepage, try using the "Quick Links" section on the right side - there's usually a "Forms" link there that takes you directly to the forms page. From there, you can either search for "DE 2525FX" or browse alphabetically. Also, make sure you have a PDF reader installed before downloading - I made the mistake of trying to open it without one and got confused thinking the form was broken! Hope this helps and good luck with your PFL application! 🤞

•Thanks for mentioning the PDF reader thing! I actually ran into that exact same issue when I first tried to download the form - kept thinking the website was broken when it was just my browser not knowing how to open PDFs. For anyone else who might have this problem, Adobe Reader is free and works great, or most modern browsers like Chrome can actually open PDFs directly now. The Quick Links section is super helpful too - definitely easier than digging through all the main menu options!

Just wanted to chime in as someone who recently navigated this - all the advice here is spot on! I'll add one more tip that saved me: if you're having trouble with the EDD website being slow or timing out (which happens A LOT), try accessing it early in the morning like 6-7 AM or late evening after 8 PM. The site seems way less congested during off-peak hours. Also, once you do find and download the DE 2525FX form, take a few minutes to read through it completely before filling it out - some sections require documentation you might not have on hand, so it's better to gather everything first. The process can be overwhelming but this community is proof that we're all here to help each other through it! 💪

•This is such great advice about the timing! I never thought about accessing the EDD site during off-peak hours, but that makes total sense - no wonder it's always so slow when I try to use it during lunch breaks. The tip about reading through the whole form first is really smart too. I made that mistake with another form where I got halfway through and realized I needed documents I didn't have with me. Thanks for sharing these practical tips, and you're absolutely right about this community being so helpful - it's amazing how everyone jumps in to help each other navigate this confusing system! 🙌

Adding to all the great advice here - another trick that's helped me is to use the EDD's main search bar at the top of their homepage. Just type "DE 2525FX" directly in there and it usually brings up the form as one of the first results. Also, if you're planning to submit the form online, make sure you create your EDD account ahead of time because that process can take a while to verify. And definitely keep a printed copy for your records - I learned the hard way that having a physical backup is super helpful if there are any questions about your submission later. The whole PFL process can feel overwhelming at first, but once you get the right forms and know where to find them, it gets much easier!
