PFL claim submitted 3 weeks ago, no payment yet. Normal or should I be worried?

Ugh, I feel you. I've been waiting for over a month now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I heard sometimes that can speed things up.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Here's what I know about PFL claims processing: • Normal processing time is 14 calendar days • If additional info is needed, it can take up to 30 days • First payments are usually issued within 14 days of claim approval If it's been over 3 weeks, something might be holding up your claim. Check your online account for any messages or requests for additional info. If you can't find anything, you really need to talk to a rep.

I'm in the same boat. Applied 4 weeks ago and radio silence since then. This is ridiculous. Don't they realize people need this money to survive?? 😡

Word of advice: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online message. You might need it if things go sideways.

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under EDD's butt.
