PFL claim stuck in processing for over a month - no movement. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my Paid Family Leave claim. I filed it over a month ago and there's still no movement in processing. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Any advice on how to speed things up?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can help move things along.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

Calling is useless tbh. I spent hours on hold and got nowhere š¤¦āāļø

A month isn't too unusual these days, unfortunately. The system is totally overwhelmed. Have you checked your online account for any updates or messages?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? No way, that's a scam.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about an hour, but I was able to do other stuff while waiting for the callback. Way better than being stuck on hold myself.

Here's what I've learned from my experience with PFL claims: ā¢ First, double-check that you've submitted all required documents. Missing paperwork is a common cause of delays. ā¢ If you haven't already, create an online account to track your claim status. Sometimes there are updates there that you won't get by mail. ā¢ If it's been over 30 days, you have the right to request an expedited review. You can do this by phone or in writing. ā¢ Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. This can be useful if you need to escalate your case. ā¢ Consider reaching out to your state representative's office. They sometimes can help push things along. ā¢ Be persistent but polite. The staff are often overworked and dealing with a broken system. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP.

The whole system is a joke. I've been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed. This country is falling apart.

Quick question for the OP - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you first filed? Might be worth checking your spam folder too.
