PFL claim still pending, no payment received - need advice!

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. My PFL claim has been pending for weeks and I haven't received any payment yet. Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried calling but can't get through to a real person. Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information about my claim status?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat a few months ago. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money and it just doesn't come through. Have you tried reaching out to them on social media? Sometimes that can get their attention.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't tried social media yet. Did it work for you?

It actually did! I tweeted at them and got a DM within a day. They asked for some info and then my claim started moving. Worth a shot!

Social media? Really? 🤔 I've always thought that was just for complaining, not actually getting help. Maybe I need to give it a try too!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Is it legit?

Idk man, paying to get customer service seems kinda sketchy. Shouldn't this be free?

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and stress. I was able to talk to someone and get my claim sorted out in one call. For me, it was worth the $20 to not spend hours on hold.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and claim updates. 2. Contact your local state representative. They often have staff dedicated to helping with these issues. 3. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 4. Check your online account regularly for any updates or requests for additional information. 5. If possible, visit a local office in person. It's a frustrating process, but don't give up. You're entitled to these benefits!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records. Do you have any tips for contacting my state rep?

Sure! Just google your address + 'state representative'. Most have a 'constituent services' section on their website where you can submit a request for help. Be clear and concise about your issue when you reach out.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails from PFL end up there. Also, make sure you've submitted all required documents. A missing form can hold up the whole process.

Good point! I'll double-check my spam folder right now. Fingers crossed 🤞

I hate to say it, but sometimes you just gotta wait it out. My claim took 8 weeks to process. The system is overloaded rn. Hang in there!

8 weeks?! That's insane. How are people supposed to survive without income for that long? The system is broken 😡

I know, right? I had to borrow money from family to get by. It's not right, but that's the reality we're dealing with.
