Need EDD denial letter after maxing out benefits - claim disappeared from system
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I maxed out my state unemployment benefits and now my claim status has disappeared from the system. I really need to get a denial letter for work purposes. Has anyone been through this before? Any advice on how to get this letter quickly?

Ugh, been there done that. It's such a pain to deal with the unemployment office. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes that's the only way to get a straight answer.

I've been trying to call for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Yeah, it's legit. You just put in your phone number and they call you when they get an agent. Beats sitting on hold all day!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Log into your unemployment account online 2. Look for a section called "Document Center" or "Correspondence" 3. There should be an option to request a benefit exhaustion letter 4. If you can't find it, try the "Contact Us" section and send a message requesting the letter 5. Be sure to mention it's for work purposes 6. If all else fails, you might have to visit an unemployment office in person Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Have you checked your mail? Sometimes they automatically send out a letter when your benefits are exhausted. Might save you some trouble if you already have it.

I haven't received anything in the mail yet, but I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the tip!

Quick question - how long ago did you max out your benefits? There might be some extensions available depending on your state and current situation.

It's been about 2 weeks now. I didn't know about extensions, I'll look into that. Thanks!

No problem! Definitely check it out. Some states have automatic extensions, others you gotta apply for. Good luck!

Oof, I feel ya. I had to get a denial letter last year for my landlord. Took forever but I finally got it by emailing them directly. Hang in there! 💪
