Filed EDD claim for baby bonding leave on 12/24, no update and website shows "no pending claim" - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. I filed a claim for baby bonding leave on Christmas Eve, and it's been weeks with no update. I checked the website, and it's showing "no pending claim." Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next? I'm starting to worry that my claim got lost in the system or something.

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes the website doesn't update properly, but they might have more info if you speak to someone directly.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through that way.

Congrats on the new baby! 🎉 But yeah, the system is a mess rn. I filed for disability in November and didnt hear anything for like 6 weeks. Keep trying to call and maybe reach out to your local rep?

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait once they started calling?

•It took about 45 minutes for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way better than trying to call yourself all day!

This is why I hate dealing with government agencies. Always so inefficient and frustrating. Hope you get it sorted out soon, OP!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling every day. Use the trick someone mentioned about calling right when they open. 2. Document everything. Write down when you filed, any confirmation numbers, and keep a log of your calls. 3. Check your spam folder. Sometimes important emails end up there. 4. If you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via social media. Some agencies are more responsive there. 5. Contact your local representative or senator's office. They often have liaisons who can help with these issues. 6. If all else fails, consider filing a complaint with the state labor board. Don't give up! The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: if you do get through, ask for a reference number for the call. It helps if you need to follow up later.

Man, I feel for you. I'm in the same boat with a disability claim. The whole system is a joke. Hang in there!
