EDD address update & unpaid leave issue - need advice for upcoming call
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my company and EDD. I need to update my address with them and also let them know I'm not getting paid during my leave. I got a letter saying I need to call and make these corrections. Anyone been through this before? What should I expect when I call? Any tips on how to handle this?

Ugh, dealing with EDD is always a headache. Here's what I'd do: • Gather all your docs, including that letter you got • Write down your correct address and details about your unpaid leave • When you call, explain clearly about the notice and why you're calling • Ask them to confirm they've updated your address in their system • Get them to explain why you're not being paid during leave • After the call, follow up with any extra docs they ask for • Keep records of everything! Good luck, hope this helps!

This is solid advice! 👍 I'd add: take notes during the call. You might need to reference the convo later.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? 🤔

Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. For me, not sitting on hold for 3+ hours was totally worth it.

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? 🤡 It's like they don't want us to get the benefits we're entitled to smh
