EDD August payments missing - no updates or letters received. What to do?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I haven't received my EDD payments for August and I'm starting to get worried. I haven't gotten any updates or letters from them either. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? I'm thinking about calling them but I'm not sure what to say or ask. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel ya. EDD can be such a pain sometimes. Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes they update stuff there before sending out letters.

Yeah, I've been checking my online account like crazy. Nothing there either. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: screenshot everything in ur account. It'll come in handy if u need to prove anything later. Trust me on this one 👀

I was in the same boat last month. Here's what worked for me: 1. Gather all your claim info 2. Call EDD (be prepared to wait forever) 3. Ask specifically about the status of your August payments 4. Find out if there are any issues with your claim 5. Get the name of the rep you talk to 6. Follow up on any instructions they give you Good luck! The system is a mess, but persistence pays off.

Thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try this. Did you have to call multiple times before getting through?

Oh yeah, it took me like 50 tries over 3 days. But once I got through, they sorted it out pretty quick. Just keep at it!

50 tries?! 😱 That's insane. There's gotta be a better way...

Hey guys, I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

$20 to actually talk to a human? 🤔 EDD should be ashamed that we even need services like this

I hear ya. It's not ideal, but when you're desperate to get your benefits, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do 🤷‍♂️

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system and my payments got stuck in limbo. Had to call and have them manually push it through. The whole thing is a joke tbh 🤡

A glitch? Seriously? How does that even happen with something as important as unemployment benefits? 🤦‍♂️

Whatever you do, DON'T GIVE UP! Keep calling, keep checking your account, and don't be afraid to reach out to your local representative if things don't get resolved. Remember, this is YOUR money we're talking about. You've earned it, now fight for it! 💪

Thanks for the encouragement! You're right, I shouldn't just sit back and wait. Time to be proactive!
