EDD SDI claim on hold for weeks - Can't reach anyone at 800-480-3287. Help!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for MONTHS. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits 🙄

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for way too long: 1. Be persistent. Call multiple times a day if you have to. 2. Have all your info ready when you call. Claim number, SSN, dates, everything. 3. Be polite but firm with the reps. They're overworked too. 4. If one rep can't help, politely ask to speak to a supervisor. 5. Document everything. Write down who you talked to and when. 6. Check your online account regularly for updates. 7. Consider reaching out to your local state representative for help. Hope this helps someone. Pro tip: if u cant get thru on the main line, try calling the employer line and ask to be transferred. Worked for me once!
