If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One additional point: when you file for PFL, there may be a question asking if you're receiving or have applied for other benefits including UI. Answer this honestly - yes, you were on UI but are stopping to switch to PFL. This helps prevent any flags in their system about potential dual benefits claims.

Thank you! I was wondering about that exact question. I'll make sure to be completely transparent about transitioning from UI to PFL.

Also don't forget that PFL is only 8 weeks for baby bonding!!! My husband thought it was 12 weeks but that's only if ur job has CFRA protection (which he didn't since his company was too small). The 8 weeks went by SOO fast 😭

Oh that's good to know. I was thinking it was 12 weeks too! I'll need to plan accordingly for just 8 weeks then. Thanks for pointing that out!

When I had my baby last spring my benefits were delayed by almost 3 weeks just because of a small error I made on the form. I checked box 6 instead of box 7 or something ridiculous like that. Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes there's a message about what's missing.

I've been checking the online portal multiple times a day and there's nothing there except "pending" with no explanation or requests for additional info. It's so frustrating!

Just wanted to follow up - did you have any luck getting through to EDD? One other thing to consider: sometimes the delay happens because they're recalculating your benefit amount. If your wages changed at all during your base period, they have to recalculate for the PFL portion even if you had the same employer throughout disability and baby bonding.

I used that Claimyr service yesterday and FINALLY got through to a real person! You were right - they said my claim was stuck because my employer submitted quarterly wage info right after I filed, which triggered a manual review. The agent pushed it through and said I should see payment in 2-3 business days. They're going to backpay everything too. Such a relief!! Thanks everyone for your help and letting me know I wasn't alone in this frustration.

Since some people are asking about the transition from Pregnancy Disability to Baby Bonding PFL, here's what you need to know: 1. Your Pregnancy Disability claim (SDI) and Baby Bonding (PFL) are two separate claims 2. You need to file your PFL claim AFTER your SDI claim ends, but don't wait more than 41 days after birth 3. Use form DE2501F for disability and DE2508 for PFL 4. The online portal often shows claim status incorrectly during transitions 5. Money Network deposits can happen even when the portal shows "pending" When transitioning, if the website shows no updates after 10 business days from submission, call EDD directly at 833-978-2511 to verify your status rather than assuming there's a problem.

The Money Network card is automatically mailed to you after your first claim is approved, typically within 7-10 business days. If your claim shows completed but you haven't received a card after two weeks, call EDD at 833-978-2511 to check if it was mailed. They may need to issue a replacement. You can also call Money Network directly at 1-866-898-2213 to check if a card was issued and possibly expedite a replacement.

Just to clarify a few points about PFL and taxes since there seems to be some confusion: 1. Paid Family Leave benefits ARE federally taxable (report on federal return) 2. PFL benefits are NOT taxable by California (don't include on state return) 3. EDD is required to send 1099-G forms by January 31st 4. You can access your 1099-G online through your EDD account 5. If you received benefits but didn't report them, you should file an amended federal return Hope this helps clear things up for everyone!

When I got PFL for my mother's cancer treatments two years ago, the EDD website was showing incorrect benefit amounts on my 1099-G. It took forever to get it fixed, and I almost filed with the wrong numbers. So make sure you double-check the amounts against your payment history before filing!

That's a great tip - I just compared my payment history with the 1099-G amounts and thankfully they match. Sorry you had to deal with that mess!

I just wanted to clarify something important about PFL claims for baby bonding. There are actually TWO important deadlines to be aware of: 1. You must APPLY within 12 months of the child's birth 2. You must TAKE the leave within 12 months of birth Since your husband was initially approved and has been actively trying to resolve this for months, he has clearly met the first requirement. However, for the second requirement, he needs to have actually taken time off work for bonding purposes within the first year of your child's life. Based on your post, it sounds like he may have already taken this time off last year when he was initially approved? If so, I would specifically mention this in all communications with EDD and your assembly member. Emphasize that he fulfilled both requirements - he applied AND took the time off within the required timeframe - and is simply waiting for the approved benefits to be released after the address verification issue.

Yes! He did take the full 6 weeks off work right after our daughter was born. He returned to work after that because we couldn't afford to have him unpaid any longer, thinking the PFL payment would come soon after. Thank you for pointing out these two separate requirements - I'll definitely emphasize this in our communications.

also make sure ur husband checks his spam folder every day!!! sometimes edd sends emails that go to spam and then they close ur case if u dont respond in like 10 days. happened to my cousin and she had to start all over again with her claim

Good point! We've been checking his email regularly including spam, but I'll make sure we're doing it daily from now on. EDD communication is so frustrating - they never seem to tell you when or how they're going to contact you.
