Sent proof of address to EDD - How long until payment processes?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my payment. I sent in my proof of address, including my mortgage statement and some other mail. Has anyone else had to do this? How long did it take for them to process your documents? I'm getting a bit anxious waiting for an update.

Ugh, I feel ya. I had to send in my proof of address too. It took them like 3 weeks to process mine. The waiting game is the worst 😫

•3 weeks?! That's so long. Did you have to call them or anything during that time?

•Nah, I just waited it out. Calling them is like trying to win the lottery these days 🎰

•3 weeks? You got lucky! I've been waiting for 2 months now. This system is so broken 🤦♂️

Pro tip: make sure you sent in EVERYTHING they asked for. I forgot one tiny thing and it set me back another month. Double check that list!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo

Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before they actually contact you.

I swear, dealing with these government agencies is like pulling teeth. Hang in there, OP. We're all in the same sinking boat 🚢

Here's what I've learned from my experience: 1. Always send more documentation than they ask for. It's better to overwhelm them with proof than to miss something. 2. Keep copies of EVERYTHING you send. 3. If you don't hear back in 2 weeks, start calling. Be persistent. 4. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 5. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes speed things up. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Has anyone else noticed that they seem to be processing things slower lately? I swear it used to be faster last year.

•YES! I thought it was just me. Maybe they had budget cuts or something?

•Probably understaffed and overworked. Can you imagine dealing with all our angry calls all day? 😅

Hey OP, what exactly did you send for proof of address? I'm about to do this too and want to make sure I get it right the first time.
