SDI claim for pregnancy still pending after 14 days - getting worried about finances

It varies but mine took about 12 days to be approved back in January. I'd give it a few more days before panicking. Have you checked for any messages in your SDI Online inbox? Sometimes they request additional info but don't email you about it.

You might want to try calling them directly to check on the status. Sometimes there's a small issue that needs to be resolved that doesn't show up on your online account. Just wanted to update you - I remember now that I actually got a letter in the mail about my claim approval BEFORE it showed as approved online. So you might want to check your physical mail too. The SDI Online system sometimes lags behind the actual processing.

UPDATE: My claim was just approved this morning! It took exactly 16 days. I checked the EDD website and it now shows my claim as approved with a benefit amount.
