Need help reaching a live agent for SDI claim questions - any tips?
Hey everyone, I need to talk to someone about my SDI claim but I'm having trouble getting through. I've got some questions and I really need to speak with an actual person. Anyone have any tips on how to reach a live agent?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to talk to real people anymore. Have you tried calling right when they open? That's worked for me in the past.

Calling when they open is hit or miss for me. Sometimes the lines are already jammed by then. š«

I've had better luck calling around 3pm. Seems like thats when they have more staff or something.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll give both a try and see if I can get through.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about an hour, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Have you tried reaching out through their online portal? Sometimes you can get a response faster that way than calling.

I've been dealing with SDI for months now and let me tell you, it's a nightmare. Here's what I've learned: ā¢ Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if you get disconnected. ā¢ Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every interaction. ā¢ If you can, try to find a specific person to talk to and get their direct line. ā¢ Be prepared with all your info before you call. They'll ask for your claim number, SSN, etc. ā¢ If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it. š

Have you considered going to one of their offices in person? Sometimes face-to-face is the only way to get things done.

Last time I went to the office, the line was out the door and around the block. Took all day just to talk to someone for 5 minutes.

Yikes, maybe things have gotten worse since I last went. That sucks.

Anyone else notice how the system seems to be designed to make us give up? Its like they want us to get frustrated and stop trying to get our benefits.
