EDD silent after 16 min hold - Doctor's provider form MIA. Any tips?
Has anyone else had issues with their doctor's provider form not being received? I've been waiting for weeks and still no update. Called today and was on hold for 16 minutes only to get complete silence when someone finally picked up. This is so frustrating!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had the same issue last month. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us. Have you tried faxing it instead? Sometimes that works better than mailing or emailing.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Yeah, so you choose the department you need to reach, pay, and then they start calling right away. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. No specific time given, but I got my call within an hour.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I mean EXACTLY when they open. Set an alarm and everything. I usually get through within 5-10 minutes that way.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. 2. Send forms via certified mail so you have proof of delivery. 3. Follow up weekly, even if it's annoying. 4. Document every call - date, time, who you spoke to. 5. Use their online portal if possible, it's sometimes faster. 6. If all else fails, contact your state representative or senator. Stay persistent, and don't let them wear you down. It's your right to get this sorted out!

Glad to help! For the phone system, I've had the best luck calling mid-week (Tuesday or Wednesday) around 10:30 AM. Seems to be a sweet spot between the morning rush and lunch break. And always choose the option for 'existing claim' even if it's not quite accurate - you're more likely to get a human that way.
