EDD sent wrong form for claim - how to fix?

I got sent the wrong form for my claim and now I'm waiting to talk to someone about it. Has anyone else had this happen? It's so frustrating to deal with all this paperwork and then find out you have the wrong form. I'm hoping they can sort this out quickly once I get through to an agent.

Ugh, been there done that. The amount of paperwork they make us go through is insane, and then they can't even send the right forms? 🤦‍♂️ Good luck getting through to someone, it's like trying to win the lottery these days.

I had to call like 50 times before I got through last month. It's ridiculous!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's steep. Is it really worth it?

I was skeptical too, but after wasting hours trying to get through, it was worth every penny. Saved me so much time and frustration.

Just used it yesterday, can confirm it works. Expensive but beats calling 100 times

Have you tried checking their website? Sometimes they have the correct forms available for download. Might save you some time if you can find it there instead of waiting on hold.

This happened to me last year. turns out they sent me a form for disability instead of unemployment. took forever to sort out. make sure you document everything and get names of who you talk to!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check that it's actually the wrong form. Sometimes they look similar but are for different purposes. 2. If it is wrong, take a picture of the form they sent you. 3. Go to the official website and see if you can download the correct form. 4. Fill out the correct form if you can find it. 5. When you finally get through to an agent, explain the situation calmly. 6. Ask them to make a note on your account about the mix-up. 7. Request that they send you the correct form by mail AND email if possible. 8. Get a confirmation number or reference for this call. 9. Follow up in writing (email or letter) detailing what happened. Remember, stay patient and persistent. It's frustrating, but getting angry won't help. Good luck!

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.
