Missing medical paperwork for claim - need advice on speeding up doctor's office

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with some missing medical paperwork that my doctor needs to fill out. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's really frustrating because I can't move forward with my claim until this gets sorted out. Any advice on how to speed up the process or who I should contact?

I found a way to solve missing medical paperwork delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1KWc1Tbd3g

Ugh, been there done that. The medical paperwork nightmare is real! 🤦‍♂️ Have you tried calling your doctor's office directly? Sometimes they can expedite things if you explain the urgency.

Yeah, I've called them twice already. They keep saying they'll get to it, but it's been over a week now. Starting to get worried about missing deadlines.

Pro tip: Be the squeaky wheel! Call them every single day until they get it done. It's annoying, but it works.

Every day? Wow, okay. I guess I'll have to channel my inner Karen 😅 Thanks for the advice!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 🤡

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imho.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

Yeah, basically they have a system that navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone. You don't have to do anything except answer when they call you.

Here's what I did when I was in your shoes: 1. Get all your paperwork in order, even if some is missing 2. Contact your doctor's office AND your insurance provider 3. Explain the urgency to both parties 4. Ask for a temporary or preliminary form to be filled out 5. Follow up every 2-3 days 6. If all else fails, see if you can switch to a different doctor who can fill out the forms faster Hope this helps! Hang in there, the bureaucracy is a nightmare but you'll get through it.

Wow, thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try these steps. Especially like the idea of asking for a temporary form - didn't even know that was an option.

This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your calls and who you spoke to. It can help if you need to escalate later.

I'm dealing with the exact same issue rn. It's been 3 weeks and still no movement. This system is so frustrating! 😤

Thanks, same to you! Let's hope we both get our paperwork sorted soon. This waiting game is the worst.

Not sure if this helps, but I had luck by going to my doctor's office in person. Brought coffee for the staff and pleaded my case. They filled out the form right then and there!
