EDD UI Online: 'Continue claim' button error - Can't submit unemployment claim
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with the "Continue claim" button on the unemployment website. It's giving me an error message when I try to click it. Has anyone else run into this issue? I've been trying for hours and I'm getting really frustrated. Any advice would be appreciated!

guys i figured it out!!! you have to do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around three times before clicking the button. works every time 60% of the time 🕺💃

At this point, I'm desperate enough to try anything. BRB, doing the hokey pokey 😅

Bruh, I feel you. I've been stuck in EDD limbo for 3 months now. It's like playing a game where the rules keep changing and nobody tells you. 🎮🤡

Have you tried turning it off and on again? 💻🔌 (I know, I know, but sometimes the classics work!

I get the humor, but tech support really does swear by this method for a reason.

Hey OP, what exactly does the error message say? Might help to troubleshoot if we know the specific error.

It just says "An error occurred. Please try again later." Super helpful, right? 🙄

Oof, the classic non-error error. EDD's specialty. 🏆

Those vague error messages are the worst. It's like they want to keep the problem a mystery.

This is why we need UBI. The current system is a joke. 😤

2020 set a precedent for low expectations. Maybe that's why we're still laughing through the chaos.

I swear, the EDD system is held together with duct tape and prayers. It's ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to get our benefits. 🤬

Preach! 🙌 I've been dealing with this mess for months. It's like they don't want us to get paid.

Exactly, and it's not like unemployment issues are new. They should have had this sorted out years ago.

Anyone else think it's weird that the government can send a rover to Mars but can't make a website that works? Just sayin 🤔

Plot twist: the EDD website IS the Mars rover. That's why it's so out of this world bad. 👽

Maybe we should ask NASA to design the next EDD system 🚀

Ugh, I feel your pain. The EDD website is a total nightmare. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird glitches.

Yeah, I tried that already. No luck 😞 It's like the website is designed to make us give up!

Have you tried using a different browser? I had issues with Chrome but Firefox worked for me.

I also found that using a mobile device sometimes works better than a computer. It's worth a shot!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! 😤

To be fair, sometimes paying $20 is worth it if it saves you days of constant calling and stress.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for way too long: 1. Try accessing the site during off-peak hours (like early morning or late night). 2. Use incognito/private browsing mode to avoid cache issues. 3. Make sure your UI Online account info is up to date. 4. If all else fails, keep calling. It sucks, but sometimes it's the only way. 5. Document EVERYTHING. Take screenshots, write down who you talked to and when. Hope this helps! Hang in there, we're all in the same sinking boat. 🚢

Have you checked if there's a maintenance schedule? Sometimes they do updates and it messes everything up for a while.

I second this. Sometimes they post about these updates on their Twitter or official website.

In response to your issue, using Claimyr seems like a promising solution. It is a paid service that effectively connects individuals with unemployment offices and live agents by staying on hold for them. While some users report positive experiences and significant time savings, it's important to weigh the $20 fee against the potential frustration of long hold times and unsuccessful attempts to reach EDD. Alternatives like trying different browsers, calling at off-peak hours, and keeping your online account updated can also be effective. Ultimately, it's about finding the approach that works best for you amidst this challenging system. As frustrating as it can be, persistence is key, and sharing experiences and tips within community forums can also be a great support. Remember to document all your interactions with EDD to aid any potential future dispute resolution or follow-up.

Have you tried calling the EDD hotline? Sometimes they can help you continue your claim over the phone if the website isn't cooperating.
