EDD SDI Paycheck Delay: 3+ Days, No Response - What's Going On?
Has anyone else not gotten their paycheck yet? Its been over 3 days and I still havent seen anything in my account. I tried calling but couldnt get through to anyone. Im starting to get worried because I have bills due soon. Anyone know whats going on or how long it usually takes for paychecks to show up?

Ugh, I feel you. This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a glitch in the payroll system. It took about 5 days to get sorted out. Hang in there!

5 days?! That's insane. Did they at least give you any compensation for the delay?

Nope, not a penny. Just a half-hearted apology. š Welcome to corporate America, I guess.

That's rough. Maybe they could at least offer some kind of temporary financial assistance for those affected by the delay.

Have you checked your employee portal? Sometimes there's info there about payroll issues or delays. Worth a look if you haven't already.

Sometimes they post updates there before anyone else knows. Good call!

This happened to me once and it turned out I had accidentally been marked as inactive in the system. Took forever to sort out. Make sure HR knows you're still employed! š

It's surprising how many small errors can cause big issues. Double-checking everything is always a good move.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! š¤

I know it sounds steep, but when you're desperate to get answers, it's worth it. Saved me hours of frustration.

Is this legit? Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried it?

I've used Claimyr before and it worked for me, but it's definitely something to consider carefully if you have a tight budget.

This is why I always keep an emergency fund. You never know when stuff like this might happen. Not trying to lecture, just sharing what's worked for me.

That's great if you can afford it, but some of us are living paycheck to paycheck. Not everyone has that luxury.

I get it, I've been there too. Just trying to offer some advice for the future. No offense meant.

Fair enough. Sorry if I came off harsh. This situation just has me stressed out.

I think it's a good idea, but hard to execute when you're barely getting by. Maybe smaller savings goals could help?

This is getting out of hand. We need to organize and demand better from our employers. Who's with me? šŖ

Maybe starting with a formal letter or petition to HR would be a safer initial approach.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes direct deposit notifications end up there. Also, double-check that your bank info hasn't changed. Just throwing out ideas!

Solid advice! Also, check if your bank has any alerts you need to set up to notify you of deposits.

Have you tried reaching out to your bank? Sometimes they can see pending deposits before they hit your account. Might be worth a shot.

Good point, and it's also nice to have confirmation that the deposit is on its way.

Guys, I work in payroll (not for your company, obvs). Here's what you need to know: ā¢ Payroll processing typically takes 2-3 business days ā¢ Bank holidays can delay things ā¢ Sometimes there are system glitches or human errors ā¢ If it's been more than 5 business days, definitely escalate to HR ā¢ Keep documentation of all your hours worked ā¢ Check your pay stub carefully when you do get paid If you're really in a bind, some companies offer payroll advances. It's worth asking about. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is super helpful, thank you! Do you know if theres anything we can do to prevent this from happening in the future?

Unfortunately, some delays are out of your control. But keeping good records, understanding your company's pay schedule, and maintaining open communication with HR can help catch issues early.

Also, consider setting alerts in your calendar for expected deposit dates, just to flag any unusual delays immediately.

Same here! I've been waiting for almost a week now. This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to pay our bills if we don't get paid on time? š”

It's frustrating when there's no response. Maybe try visiting HR in person if that's possible?
