Paycheck MIA - What to do when you haven't been paid?

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there before. Have you tried emailing your HR department? Sometimes they can sort it out faster than going through the phone lines.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Write down the dates you were supposed to be paid and weren't. 2. Check your employee portal or recent paystubs to see if there's any info there. 3. Email HR and your direct supervisor. Be polite but firm. 4. If you don't hear back within 24 hours, follow up with a phone call. 5. Keep a record of all communication attempts. 6. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to your state's labor board. Remember, it's illegal for employers to withhold pay. Don't let them brush you off!

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was a glitch in the new payroll system they implemented. Took them a week to sort it out, but they eventually did a special run just for those of us affected. Hang in there!
