Suspicious call claiming to be CalFresh from 1-844-741-0373 - Is this legit or a scam?

BE CAREFUL!!!! I got a similar call last year that turned out to be SCAMMERS trying to get my personal info!!! They knew my name and everything about my calfresh but then asked for my social and EBT card number!!! NEVER give ANY personal info over the phone!!!!

my cousin got a similar call and it was about her needing to submit some income verification for her recertification. apparently if you don't press 1 they're supposed to mail you the info instead, at least that's what happened with her. but ya never hurts to call county to double check what they need

i got the same call last month!! it was because i had a medi-cal renewal due not calfresh tho. the counties use the same system for both. its annoying how they dont clearly say which program theyre calling about!
