Lost EBT card replacement taking more than 10 days - need customer service number urgently

I requested a replacement EBT card almost 2 weeks ago because mine got stolen. The automated system said it would arrive within 10 days but I still haven't gotten anything in the mail. I'm completely out of groceries and my kids are hungry. I don't have the old card anymore to check the customer service number on the back. Can someone please share the EBT customer service number so I can find out what's going on with my replacement card? I've tried calling my county office but I'm just stuck on hold forever. Any help would be so appreciated!!

The California EBT customer service number is 1-877-328-9677. They're available 24/7. When you call, have your case number or personal info ready so they can verify your identity. They should be able to tell you the status of your card and maybe even expedite it if it's lost in the mail. Hope this helps!

Thank you so so much!! I'll call them right now. Didn't realize they were 24/7, that's a huge relief. I've been stressing about this all weekend.

Omg that's exactly what I'm afraid of. Did they tell you why the first replacement never arrived? I'm worried someone might be stealing mail in my building.

Just FYI - the county offices can also place an expedited card request if you explain your situation, but the wait times are ridiculous lately. I found a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helps you skip the phone wait times for CalFresh. Saved me 3+ hours of hold time when my card wasn't working. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/eZ19FHRETv8?si=_CXnXqNXbLl26WB8. Worth it when you're in an emergency situation with kids who need to eat.

The standard time for replacement is SUPPOSED to be 3-5 business days, not 10! I just went through this in April. Did you request it online through BenefitsCal or by calling the county? If you did it online, sometimes the requests get stuck in the system. Definitely call the EBT customer service number, but they can only tell you if the card was mailed. If you need immediate help with getting a replacement, you might need to physically go to your local county office - they can print emergency cards right there. Bring your ID and be prepared to wait.

I requested through BenefitsCal portal. I didn't know the county office could print one same day! That might be better than waiting for another mailed one. Do you know if they're open on Saturdays? I work during the week and it's hard to get time off.

NO NO NO don't waste time going to the office! Call EBT customer service and ask for EXPEDITED REPLACEMENT. They can overnight a new card to you if you explain your situation. I got mine in 2 days this way. The county offices are PACKED and you'll just waste your whole day. Trust me on this one!!!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your EBT card replacement. It can be so stressful when you're waiting for benefits and have children to feed. If you're in an emergency situation, please don't forget there are food banks that can help while you're sorting this out. Most don't require any documentation for emergency assistance. I've been in your shoes and understand how difficult this waiting period can be. As for your card, once you get through to customer service, ask them to check if the card was actually mailed and if they have tracking information. Sometimes there are delays with the vendor that prints the cards. Wishing you the best.

Thank you for the kind suggestion. I actually called 211 yesterday and they referred me to a local food bank, but I don't have transportation to get there. I'm hoping to resolve this EBT issue asap. Appreciate your understanding.

UPDATE: I called the EBT customer service number that was shared here. After 20 minutes on hold, they told me my card was mailed 8 days ago but couldn't provide tracking. They offered to cancel that one and send a new one with expedited shipping that should arrive by Friday. They also gave me the option to go to the county office for same-day replacement, but I can't miss work. Thanks everyone for your help!
