CalFresh EBT card suddenly emptied - no answer from customer service number!

I just checked my EBT card balance and all my CalFresh benefits are GONE!!! I had around $430 that should last me til the end of the month, and now it shows $0. I didn't authorize any transactions and nobody else has my card. Been trying to call the number on the back of my EBT card for 2 hours but keep getting stuck in the automated system or it hangs up on me! I have 2 kids to feed and literally no money for groceries now. Has this happened to anyone else? Was it a system glitch? Theft? How do I get this fixed ASAP? County office doesn't open until Monday and we need to eat before then!

This happened to me last year! Check your EBT transaction history online through the app or website. Mine showed purchases at stores I never went to! Someone had skimmed my card info and made a copy. You need to report it as fraud ASAP.

call the theft hotline not the regular number!!! its diffrent. u need to say its FRAUD not just missing money or theyll just transfer u around. happened to my sister last month too

the county worker told me last month they've been having LOTS of ebt fraud lately with skimmers at stores!! ask which store the purchases were at and NEVER shop there again. my friend lost $700 and took almost 6 weeks to get it back even tho they're supposed to reimbuse in 10 days 😡

I'm pretty sure it's not someone I know because I never share my PIN and keep my card locked up. The transactions were at a store 20 miles from my house at 3AM when I was asleep!

Update: finally got through to EBT after using that Claimyr service! They confirmed it was fraud, canceled my card, and are sending me a new one that should arrive in 3-5 business days. They said my fraud claim could take up to 30 days to investigate, but the rep noted my account that I have children and need emergency assistance. Said I should also visit my county office on Monday to request emergency replacement benefits while the claim is pending. Will update how it goes!
