If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

So glad you got it sorted out! For future reference, you can also check your EBT card balance and transaction history through the ebtEDGE mobile app - it's really helpful for keeping track of your benefits and making sure everything looks right. And don't feel embarrassed about the PIN lockout - it happens to everyone! The cashiers see it all the time and most are pretty understanding about it.

Thanks for mentioning the ebtEDGE app! I didn't even know that existed. Just downloaded it and it's so much easier than trying to remember when I last checked my balance. You're right about the cashiers too - the one today was actually really nice about it and said it happens multiple times every shift. Makes me feel less anxious about using my card in the future knowing it's such a common thing!

I'm so glad you were able to get this resolved! This is exactly why I love this community - everyone jumps in to help when someone is stressed about their benefits. Just wanted to add that if anyone else runs into this issue, you can also try using your EBT card at an ATM to check if it's truly locked or if it was just a store terminal issue. Sometimes the grocery store machines glitch out but your card works fine elsewhere. And don't worry about being embarrassed - I've seen this happen to so many people, including myself! The important thing is you got your PIN reset and can feed your kids this weekend. 💙

Update on your situation: Riverside County is required by ACL 18-13 (All County Letter) to complete Inter-County Transfers within 7 calendar days of receiving the case from the sending county. If it's been longer than that, they're technically out of compliance. I recommend taking these steps immediately: 1. Submit a new application through BenefitsCal as mentioned above 2. Request expedited service due to low/no income and resources 3. Call AND visit in person if possible 4. If you get a worker on the phone, request to speak with a supervisor if they can't immediately locate and process your transfer 5. If there will be a gap in benefits, ask them to issue emergency CalFresh benefits to cover the gap period You shouldn't have to wait for your next issuance date to receive the benefits you're entitled to. The county is required to preserve continuity of benefits during transfers.

Thank you so much for this helpful information! I didn't know they had a 7-day requirement or that I could request emergency benefits to cover the gap. I'm doing all of these steps first thing tomorrow morning. I'll update here with what happens in case anyone else has this problem in the future.

I'm dealing with something similar right now! Moved from LA County to Riverside 3 weeks ago and still haven't received my benefits. What's really frustrating is that when I call the main CalFresh line, they tell me different things every time - one person said the transfer was processed, another said there's no record of it. I ended up going to the Riverside office on Alessandro Blvd last week with all my paperwork and they finally found my case buried in their system. The worker said they've been having issues with their new computer system not properly flagging incoming transfers. She processed it manually and said I should see benefits within 3-5 business days. If calling isn't working, definitely go in person with your case number from San Bernardino and any transfer confirmation they gave you. Bring your kids if you have to - sometimes that helps them understand the urgency of the situation.

Yes, you'll submit the SAR7 at the 6-month mark of your certification period. Since you applied last month, you should receive it around June 2025. Make sure you report any income changes accurately, including the child support. If your income has decreased at all since your initial application, you can actually report that now (not just at SAR7 time) and potentially get your benefit amount increased. Also, don't forget that your utility costs can be factored in using the Standard Utility Allowance (SUA) which might increase your benefit amount.

Thank you! My income is the same but our electric bill has gone way up with summer coming. I'll ask about that SUA thing when I call to check on the Summer EBT in May. Really appreciate everyone's help in understanding these programs better!

Just wanted to add that you can also check your state's Summer EBT website for updates! California usually posts information about when benefits will be issued and any important deadlines. Also, if you move during the school year, make sure to update your address with both your school district AND your CalFresh case - I've seen families miss out because their notification letters went to old addresses. The $120 per child really does help stretch the food budget during summer when kids are home all day!

does anyone know how much the sun bucks pays? is it the same amount as the p-ebt we got during covid?

Summer EBT/Sun Bucks provides approximately $40 per eligible child per month during the summer months (typically June, July, and August). It's less than what was provided during COVID under P-EBT, which was around $120 per month at its peak. Unlike P-EBT which was a pandemic response, Summer EBT is now a permanent program to help families when school meals aren't available during summer breaks.

I'm in a similar situation with my 4-year-old who isn't in any formal program yet. After reading through all these responses, it sounds like I need to look into Head Start or other state-funded preschool programs if I want my younger child to qualify for Sun Bucks. Does anyone know if there's a waiting list for Head Start programs, or how early I should apply for next year? It seems like getting into one of these programs would not only help with my child's education but also make them eligible for the summer food benefits.

Don't worry too much about not getting a letter yet! I'm in the same boat - last name starts with S and I have 2 kids (ages 9 and 11) who qualify for free lunch. No letter or benefits yet but based on what everyone's saying about the N-Z group being this week, we should hopefully see something soon. I called my kids' school yesterday and they confirmed both my children are still listed as eligible for free meals in their system, so at least I know we should be getting it. The waiting is definitely stressful though, especially when you see other families already getting theirs!

Thanks for sharing this! It's so reassuring to hear from someone else in the same situation. I was starting to think something was wrong with our application since we haven't gotten any notification yet. My last name starts with T so we should definitely be in this N-Z week. Really hoping we both see our benefits loaded by Friday! It's good that you checked with the school - I should probably do the same just to make sure everything is still showing correctly on their end.
