What is the number to the Washington ESD unemployment office - can't find working phone number
I've been trying to call the Washington ESD unemployment office for days but can't find a phone number that actually works. I keep getting busy signals or automated messages that hang up on me. My weekly claim has been pending for over a week and I need to talk to someone about why it's not processing. Does anyone have the actual working phone number to reach a real person at Washington ESD?

The main Washington ESD customer service number is 833-572-8400, but good luck getting through. I've been calling for three weeks straight and either get busy signals or sit on hold for hours before getting disconnected.

•Thanks! I'll try that number. Did you ever get through to anyone or are you still waiting?

•Still waiting unfortunately. The system is completely overwhelmed right now.

There's also 844-348-0681 but that one's even worse. I called 47 times yesterday and never got past the busy signal.

•47 times?? This is insane. How are we supposed to resolve claim issues if we can't reach anyone?

•Exactly! And they expect us to file our weekly claims on time but won't answer when we have problems.

I actually found a solution that worked for me last week. There's a service called Claimyr that helps you get through to Washington ESD agents. You go to their website at claimyr.com and they have this system that keeps calling until they connect you with a real person. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows exactly how it works.

•Is this legit? I'm desperate at this point but don't want to get scammed.

•Yeah it's totally legitimate. I was skeptical too but it actually connected me to a Washington ESD agent in about 20 minutes. Way better than spending entire days redialing.

•How much does it cost though? I'm already broke from waiting for my benefits.

The phone system is completely broken. I've been calling since 7 AM every day for two weeks. Sometimes I get through to the automated system but then it just hangs up on me when I try to speak to someone about my adjudication.

•Same here! The automated system seems to recognize that I need to talk to someone about my pending claim but then just disconnects.

•It's like they designed it to NOT let people through. So frustrating when you have bills to pay.

Pro tip: try calling right at 8:00 AM when they open. Set multiple alarms and start dialing exactly at 8. That's the only time I've had any luck getting through to the queue.

•Good idea! What happens once you get in the queue though? Do you actually get to talk to someone?

•Sometimes. I've waited 3+ hours on hold before getting disconnected, but I did speak to an agent once after a 2 hour wait.

•2 hours?! That's ridiculous. What if you have a job and can't sit on hold all day?

The whole system is a joke. They make it impossible to reach them on purpose so they don't have to deal with people's problems.

•I'm starting to think you're right. This can't be accidental.

•It's definitely intentional. They're understaffed and overwhelmed so they make it hard to contact them.

Have you tried the online messaging system through your SecureAccess Washington account? Sometimes they respond faster that way.

Dmitry Ivanov
•I sent a message 5 days ago and haven't heard anything back. Is that normal?

Oliver Zimmermann
•Yeah unfortunately. The online messages can take 1-2 weeks for a response, sometimes longer.

Going back to that Claimyr thing someone mentioned - I actually used it last month when my claim got stuck in adjudication. It really does work. I was connected to a Washington ESD agent who was able to explain exactly what documents they needed to process my claim.

Dmitry Ivanov
•That sounds like exactly what I need. My claim has been in adjudication for 2 weeks with no explanation.

•Yeah, the agent was able to see my file and tell me they needed additional employment verification. Saved me weeks of waiting around wondering what was happening.

I tried calling 200+ times last week. LITERALLY. I kept track. Got through to the hold queue twice, got disconnected both times after waiting over an hour.

•200 times?? That's dedication. I feel bad complaining about my 20 attempts now.

•I was desperate. My rent was due and I needed to know why my payments stopped. Still haven't gotten answers.

The best times I've found are Tuesday and Wednesday between 10-11 AM. Mondays and Fridays are impossible.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll try tomorrow morning around 10:30.

•I've had better luck calling right after lunch too, around 1 PM.

Just want to echo what others said about Claimyr - it actually works. I was skeptical because I'd never heard of using a service to make phone calls, but when you're desperate you'll try anything. Got connected to Washington ESD in under 30 minutes.

•OK I'm convinced. Going to check out that video demo they mentioned.

•The video explains it better than I can. It's pretty straightforward and definitely beats spending all day redialing.

Alternative numbers to try: 855-682-0785 (this one sometimes works) and 360-902-9500 (general Washington ESD line).

Dmitry Ivanov
•Adding these to my list! Have you gotten through on either of these recently?

Isabella Ferreira
•The 855 number worked for me two weeks ago but took 90 minutes on hold. The 360 number just transfers you to the main line usually.

I gave up on calling and drove to the WorkSource office in person. They couldn't access my claim directly but were able to send a message to Washington ESD on my behalf.

Dmitry Ivanov
•That's a good idea! How long did it take to get a response after they sent the message?

Ravi Sharma
•About a week. Not fast but better than never getting through on the phone.

The phone system has been broken for months. I don't understand how they expect people to resolve claim issues when you literally cannot contact them.

•It's beyond frustrating. I just want to know why my claim is pending!

•Same boat here. Been pending for 3 weeks with no explanation and no way to get answers.

Try calling multiple numbers at the same time if you have access to different phones. I use my cell phone and landline simultaneously to double my chances.

Dmitry Ivanov
•That's actually brilliant! I have my cell and my roommate's phone. Going to try that.

•Just make sure to hang up one call if you get through on the other. Don't want to waste their time.

Honestly at this point I'm considering that Claimyr service too. I've wasted so many hours trying to call that it would probably save me time and stress in the long run.

•Same here. The amount of time I've spent redialing is probably worth whatever they charge.

•That's exactly how I felt when I decided to try it. Sometimes you just need to get through to an actual person to resolve these issues.
