What day does Washington ESD unemployment pay - Tuesday or Wednesday?
I'm really confused about when my unemployment benefits actually get deposited. I filed my weekly claim Sunday night like I always do, but I can't figure out what day Washington ESD actually sends the payment. Some people say Tuesday, others say Wednesday. My bank account is pretty much empty and I need to know when I can expect the money to hit so I can plan accordingly. Does anyone know the exact day Washington ESD processes payments?

Washington ESD typically processes payments on Tuesday nights, so most people see their deposits on Wednesday morning. But it can depend on your bank - some credit unions show pending deposits earlier than big banks.

•Thanks! So if I filed Sunday night, I should see it Wednesday morning at the latest?

•Yes, as long as there are no issues with your claim and you filed by the Sunday deadline.

I had similar confusion when I started collecting. If you're having trouble getting through to Washington ESD to verify your payment schedule, I found this service called Claimyr that helps you actually reach an agent. Check out claimyr.com - they have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows how it works. Made it so much easier to get answers about my claim status.

•Interesting, I've been trying to call Washington ESD for weeks but can never get through. How does this service work exactly?

•It basically handles the calling and waiting for you so you don't have to sit on hold for hours. When they get an agent on the line, they connect you directly.

•Sounds too good to be true but I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point

WEDNESDAY MORNING IS WHEN THEY PAY!!! Been getting mine every Wednesday for 8 months straight. Washington ESD processes Tuesday night, deposits show up Wednesday AM. Don't stress about it.

The payment schedule depends on whether you're getting regular UI benefits or if you're on standby status. Regular unemployment benefits process Tuesday nights for Wednesday deposits. But if you're on standby, the timing might be different since those payments go through a different system.

•I'm on regular UI benefits, not standby. Filed my weekly claim Sunday night and it was accepted.

•Then you should definitely see your payment Wednesday morning. If you don't, that's when you'd want to contact Washington ESD to check your claim status.

been waiting 3 weeks for any payment at all, stuck in adjudication hell

•That's a different issue - adjudication can take weeks to resolve. You might want to try reaching out to Washington ESD to check on the status.

•That's helpful to know - I have a credit union too so maybe I'll see it earlier

Wednesday has been consistent for me too. Washington ESD runs their payment batch Tuesday nights. Just make sure you filed your weekly claim properly and there are no issues with your job search requirements.

•Good point about job search requirements. I've been logging my activities properly so that shouldn't be an issue.

•Then you should be all set for Wednesday morning!

Sometimes it takes longer if there's a holiday weekend or if Washington ESD systems are having issues. Usually Wednesday but can be delayed

Just to follow up on the Claimyr thing I mentioned earlier - I used them when my payments got delayed and I needed to verify my claim status. Really saved me from spending days trying to get through to Washington ESD. Worth checking out if you ever run into issues.

•How much does something like that cost though?

•I found it worth it for the time it saved me, but you can check their site for current info. Main thing is it actually works when you need to reach an agent.

One thing to watch out for - if your bank account information has changed recently or if there are any verification issues with your claim, the payment could be delayed. Always make sure your banking info is current in your Washington ESD account.

•Good reminder. I haven't changed anything recently so should be fine.

The key thing is Washington ESD processes payments in batches on Tuesday nights. Individual banks then process those deposits on their own schedules, but most complete by Wednesday morning. If you ever don't receive a payment you're expecting, check your claim status online first before calling.

•That makes sense. I'll check my claim status online if anything seems off.

IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR PAYMENT BY THURSDAY MORNING THEN SOMETHING IS WRONG! But Wednesday is the normal day for sure.

Washington ESD payment schedule has been super reliable for me. Tuesday night processing, Wednesday morning in the bank account. Only time it was different was during that system upgrade a few months ago.

•Good to know the system is generally reliable. I feel much better about the timing now.

Glad everyone could help with the timing question! And remember, if you ever need to actually speak with a Washington ESD agent about payment issues or anything else, Claimyr is there to help you get through. Much better than spending your whole day trying to call.

Just to summarize for anyone else reading this later - Washington ESD processes unemployment payments Tuesday nights, deposits typically show up Wednesday morning. If you don't see your payment by Thursday, that's when you should start investigating. Most banks are consistent with this timing.
