Lost adjudicator's contact info after ESD Alert disappeared - how to recover it?
I'm freaking out right now!!! Just got an ALERT on my eServices dashboard from an ESD adjudicator. She left her name, phone number with extension, and wanted to discuss my claim. I started typing a response explaining that my cell service was disconnected because I couldn't pay my bill (thanks unemployment delay) and gave her my husband's number instead. Then I went to grab a pen to write down her contact info and when I came back, the system had timed out and the ENTIRE MESSAGE DISAPPEARED! I can't find it anywhere on my dashboard now! Has this happened to anyone? How do I recover that message or her contact details? Should I call the main ESD number? The adjudicator had a direct line with an extension that wasn't the regular ESD number. I'm worried if I don't call her back, they'll deny my claim! Help please!

Don't panic, this is actually a common issue with the eServices dashboard alerts - they disappear after you view them once. Unfortunately, there's no way to recover the exact message through the portal. Your best option is to call the main ESD number (800-318-6022) and explain to the agent that you received an adjudicator alert but lost the contact information. Be sure to mention you were in the middle of responding when it timed out. They should be able to see notes on your account and either give you the adjudicator's contact info or leave a message for them to reach out to you again.

•Thank you! I was afraid of that. I've been trying the main number for 2 days and can't get through - just constant busy signals or it hangs up after the automated message about high call volume. Would it help to go to a WorkSource office in person? Or should I just keep trying the phone?

SAME EXACT THING happened to me last month!!! It's so frustrating how they design a system that times out that fast when they KNOW we're trying to save important contact info!! I spent THREE DAYS trying to get someone on the phone after losing my adjudicator's message. The system is designed to make us fail I swear.

I work at WorkSource and can tell you this happens frequently. The alerts in eServices are designed to disappear after viewing for security reasons, but it causes a lot of confusion. Here's what you should do: 1. Call the main ESD number early in the morning (right when they open at 8am) 2. If you can't get through by phone, try sending a secure message through your eServices account specifically mentioning you lost an adjudicator's contact info 3. As a last resort, visit a WorkSource office in person - we can't directly access adjudication details, but we can submit an urgent contact request on your behalf Remember that adjudicators usually try to contact claimants multiple times, so they'll likely reach out again if they don't hear from you.

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll try calling right at 8am tomorrow, and if that doesn't work, I'll send a message through eServices. It's good to know they might try contacting me again. I'm just worried about delays since I'm already on week 5 with no payments.

I had trouble getting through to ESD for weeks about my adjudication. I finally used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got through to an agent in about 15 minutes instead of spending hours redialing. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 - it basically keeps dialing for you until it gets through, then calls you. The agent was able to leave a message for my adjudicator with my contact info and they called me the next day. Saved me so much stress!

@profile7 Yeah it worked for me, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it. I was skeptical too but was desperate after trying for days. My adjudicator called me back within 24 hours after the ESD agent put notes in my file.

The ESD alert system is TERRIBLE! It's one of many ways they make the process unnecessarily difficult. I think they WANT people to miss these communications so they have an excuse to deny claims! When this happened to me last year, I had to call 47 TIMES before getting through. And then the person who answered couldn't even help me and transferred me to another department where I waited on hold for 90 MINUTES only to be disconnected!!! The system is BROKEN BY DESIGN!!!

UPDATE: I finally got through to ESD this morning! Called exactly at 8:00am and still waited 35 minutes, but eventually spoke with an agent. She could see in my file that an adjudicator named Melissa had tried to contact me about my employment separation details. The agent left a note with my husband's phone number and said the adjudicator should call me within 48 hours. Fingers crossed this resolves soon! Thanks everyone for your help.

•That's great news! Make sure your husband knows to expect the call and to take detailed notes about what the adjudicator says. They might ask for specific information about your separation from employment, so it's good to have all that ready. Keep us posted on how it goes!

•If it's been since March, you should definitely contact ESD again. That's an excessive wait time even with their current backlog. I'd recommend calling first thing in the morning and specifically asking for a status update on your adjudication. Be sure to mention the date of the last contact. You might also want to check if there are any alerts or action items in your eServices account that need your attention.

@profile7 That's exactly what I'm afraid of! I hope you get yours resolved soon too. I'll definitely update here once/if I hear back from my adjudicator.

FINAL UPDATE: The adjudicator called my husband yesterday! She just needed to verify my reason for separation from my last job. The call only took about 10 minutes, and she said my claim should be processed within 72 hours. She also mentioned that they're moving to a new alert system later this year that will keep messages visible for 14 days instead of disappearing after viewing. Thank goodness this is getting resolved!
