If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just remember that remuneration reporting is required every week, even if you didn't earn anything. You have to answer the question about whether you received any remuneration during the week you're claiming.

0 coins

Right, I've been answering 'no' for the past 8 weeks, but this week I'll need to report the $180.

0 coins

Exactly. The system is set up to track your work activity consistently.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for the explanations! I feel much more confident about reporting my remuneration now. The $180 I earned will definitely be reported on my weekly claim. Sounds like Washington ESD has a pretty fair system for handling part-time work income.

You're welcome! Don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions about the process.

And remember, if you need to talk to Washington ESD directly about anything, that claimyr service can help you get through without the long wait times.

Once you get your first payment, the subsequent payments should come regularly as long as you file your weekly claims on time and meet all requirements. Washington ESD is pretty consistent with payment timing.

0 coins

That's reassuring. I'm hoping the whole process goes smoothly and I can find new work quickly.

Good luck with your job search! The job market is pretty good right now in most industries, so hopefully you won't need to use all your unemployment benefits.

0 coins

Remember that if you have any issues with your claim or questions about your benefit amount, don't wait too long to get help. Washington ESD has time limits on appeals and corrections, so address problems quickly.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. This has been really helpful in understanding how the system works.

You're welcome! Feel free to ask if you have other questions as you go through the process. We've all been there.

Remember you can file your weekly claim even if you're waiting for your regular UI benefits to be approved. Don't wait - file every week from the start.

0 coins

That's exactly my situation! I just got approved so I wasn't sure when to start. I'll file this Sunday for sure.

0 coins

Correct. File weekly claims starting the week after you file your initial application, even during adjudication.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! I feel much more confident about filing my weekly claims now. This thread covered everything I was wondering about.

0 coins

Agreed! This has been super helpful. I'm going to start filing this Sunday morning.

Remember to keep records of everything - when you filed, confirmation numbers, any correspondence from Washington ESD. You'll want that documentation if any issues come up later.

0 coins

Good tip! I'll screenshot everything and keep a folder.

0 coins

Smart move. Also keep track of all your job search activities in case they audit you later. Better to have too much documentation than not enough.

The maximum weekly benefit in Washington is around $1,000 but most people get way less than that. Don't expect to replace your full salary - unemployment is meant to be temporary assistance while you look for work.

0 coins

That's still better than nothing! How do they calculate how much you get?

0 coins

It's based on your earnings during the base period. Generally around 60-70% of your average weekly wage, but there are minimums and maximums. The system will calculate it automatically when you file.

Your roommate should also start looking for work right away and keep a job search log. Even if her claim gets approved, she'll need to show she's actively seeking employment to continue receiving benefits.

0 coins

How many jobs does she need to apply for each week?

0 coins

I think it's at least 3 job search activities per week in Washington, but check the current requirements on the ESD website since they can change.

0 coins

Bottom line: she should absolutely apply. Being fired doesn't automatically disqualify you from unemployment benefits. The Washington ESD will review the circumstances and make a decision. Better to apply and potentially get approved than not apply and definitely get nothing.

0 coins

You're absolutely right. I'll encourage her to apply today. Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice!

0 coins

Good luck to your roommate! Hope it works out for her.
