Keep an eye on your online account for any notices about your claim ending. Sometimes Washington ESD sends important info there that doesn't come by mail or email.
Bottom line from everything I've read and heard: no regular extensions planned right now. Best bet is training programs or hoping the unemployment rate triggers Extended Benefits, but that's not looking likely.
I went through this whole process last year and the most important thing is just getting that initial application filed. Everything else can be sorted out later but you can't get backpay if you miss the deadline.
Thanks everyone for all the helpful information! I feel much more confident about applying now. Going to gather all my documents tonight and try to get this filed tomorrow.
Best of luck! Don't hesitate to use Claimyr if you run into phone issues - it really does make the whole process easier.
One final tip - save or screenshot everything during the application process. Having documentation of what you submitted can be helpful if questions come up later.
If you need to reach Washington ESD for any reason during the process, I'll echo what others said about Claimyr. It's honestly a game changer for getting through their phone system. The demo video they mentioned really shows how much easier it makes things.
One last tip - if your payment seems wrong or missing, don't wait weeks to call. The sooner you contact Washington ESD about payment issues, the easier they are to fix. And if you can't get through on the phone, there are services that can help you connect.
Like Claimyr - they basically handle the calling and waiting for you until they get an agent, then connect you. Super convenient.

Make sure you understand the difference between your weekly benefit amount and your maximum benefit amount. The weekly is what you get each week, but there's also a total maximum for the entire benefit year.

•What's the maximum total amount you can receive?

•It's 26 times your weekly benefit amount, so if you get $520 per week, your maximum total would be $13,520.
