After you apply, you'll get a confirmation email with your application number. Screenshot this or write it down - you'll need it for reference if you have to call Washington ESD.
Just want to add that if your claim gets sent to adjudication (which happens sometimes), don't worry. It just means they need to review something about your claim. Answer any questionnaires they send you promptly and completely.
Could be anything - questions about why you left your job, wage discrepancies, identity verification issues. Most adjudications resolve in your favor if you provide the requested information.
My cousin in California gets more weeks than we do here in Washington. Kind of annoying that it varies so much by state when unemployment is a national issue.
The most important thing is to stay organized and keep good records. Track your job search activities, save all correspondence from Washington ESD, and don't miss any deadlines. The 26 weeks go by faster than you think, but if you stay on top of everything, you'll be in the best position possible.
One last thing - if you need to speak with Washington ESD about anything related to your benefit amount or have issues with your claim, that Claimyr service at claimyr.com really does work. Much better than spending hours on hold or getting disconnected.
Overall with your salary you should be looking at somewhere in the $600-850 range per week depending on how your earnings were distributed. Not bad for temporary income while you find your next job.
One more thing - make sure you understand how your part-time earnings will affect your weekly benefit amount. There's a formula they use and you'll still get some benefits as long as your earnings are below a certain threshold. Don't assume you won't qualify just because you're still working some hours.
Smart move applying sooner rather than later. The worst thing that can happen is they say you don't qualify, but at least you'll know for sure rather than wondering. And if you do qualify, you'll start getting benefits right away instead of missing out on weeks of payments.

One last tip - if your payment is ever more than 2 days late, definitely call ESD or use that Claimyr service to get through. Sometimes there are issues with your claim that need to be resolved before payment can be released.

•Good to know. I'll keep that in mind if I ever have a delayed payment.

•Yeah, don't just assume a late payment will eventually show up. Sometimes there are eligibility issues that need to be addressed.

This whole thread confirms what I've experienced - Washington ESD payments come Wednesday if you file early in the week. Reliable as clockwork unless there's a holiday. Pretty much the only predictable thing about dealing with unemployment benefits.

•Ha! True that. At least the payment timing is consistent even if everything else about ESD is confusing.
