If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Thanks to everyone who responded! This has been really helpful in understanding what to expect. I'll keep filing my weekly claims and give it another week before trying to contact Washington ESD directly.

You're welcome! Feel free to update us when you hear something.

And remember that Claimyr option if you need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD!

One thing to keep in mind - even if you qualify for unemployment, your weekly benefit amount will be based on your base period earnings too. So if you didn't earn much during that time, your benefits might be pretty low.

0 coins

That makes sense. At least something is better than nothing if I get laid off.

The maximum weekly benefit in Washington is pretty decent compared to other states. Even if your benefits are on the lower side, it's still worth having while you look for a new job.

I had to call Washington ESD to get clarification on my base period because I had worked in another state right before moving here. If you've worked in multiple states recently, that can complicate things. Ended up using this service called Claimyr to actually get through to someone who could help me sort it out.

I've only worked in Washington so hopefully that won't be an issue for me. But good to know about Claimyr if I need help getting through to them.

0 coins

Yeah Claimyr is legit. Used them myself when I couldn't get through the regular phone lines. Worth checking out their demo video if you're having trouble reaching Washington ESD.

Also check if you're eligible for any emergency assistance programs through your county. Some have short-term help for people between benefits.

0 coins

I hadn't thought of checking county programs. Do you know what they're usually called?

0 coins

It varies by county but search for emergency assistance or temporary assistance programs on your county's website.

Just want to add that if you do find work before your benefits run out, you might be able to restart your claim later if you lose that job, depending on when your benefit year ends.

0 coins

That's good to know. I was worried about taking temporary work and losing my claim completely.

0 coins

Correct, you can restart an existing claim as long as you're still within your benefit year and have weeks remaining.

Definitely try that Claimyr service if you need to check on your appeal status. I was skeptical at first but it actually worked great for getting through to Washington ESD.

0 coins

Did they give you any useful information when you got through?

0 coins

Yeah, they were able to tell me my appeal was scheduled for the following week. Would have been nice to know that sooner!

0 coins

Keep your chin up. I know the waiting is awful but appeals do get resolved eventually. Focus on what you can control - keep applying for jobs and gather any additional documentation that might help your case.

You're right, I need to stay positive. This thread has been really helpful for managing my expectations about the timeline.

Just want to add - if you're having trouble with the online application, there are also phone and in-person options, though they're much slower. The online route is definitely the way to go if you can manage it.

0 coins

Good to know there are other options as backup. I'm pretty comfortable with online forms so I'll stick with that.

0 coins

The online application is available 24/7 too, which is convenient if you're a night owl like me.

0 coins

I applied online last year and my biggest tip is to have everything ready before you start. I had to stop in the middle to find some documents and when I came back my session had expired. Wasted like an hour.

0 coins

That's exactly the kind of thing I wanted to avoid. I'll make sure to gather everything first.

Smart move. Also, if you have any questions about eligibility or the process, Washington ESD has a pretty good FAQ section on their website.
