If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Whatever you do, don't wait to file thinking you need to find another job first. You can look for work AND collect benefits at the same time - that's literally the point of the system.

Good point. I was thinking maybe I should just focus on job hunting but you're right.

0 coins

Exactly. The benefits are there to help you while you search. Use every resource available to you.

One last thing about Claimyr - I found them super helpful when I needed to get clarity on my specific situation. Sometimes you just need to talk to a real person who can look at your account and explain what's actually happening instead of guessing based on generic information online.

0 coins

I'm definitely going to check that out if I run into issues. Thanks for mentioning it!

Anything that helps you get through to Washington ESD faster is worth considering honestly.

For anyone still having trouble reaching Washington ESD about tax document issues, I had success using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier. They got me through to an agent who was able to explain the discrepancy on my 1099-G and send me a corrected form.

0 coins

How long did it take them to get you through? I'm still waiting to hear back from Washington ESD about my incorrect 1099-G.

0 coins

It took about 2 hours but that was way better than the weeks I spent trying to call myself. They handle all the waiting and callback stuff for you.

Just wanted to update everyone - I finally got my taxes done and everything worked out fine. The 1099-G from Washington ESD was correct, I just had to make sure I reported it on the right line of my tax return. Thanks for all the help in this thread!

0 coins

That's great to hear! I'm still working on mine but feeling more confident after reading everyone's experiences here.

0 coins

Glad it worked out for you. I'm still dealing with my tax mess but at least I know what to expect now.

One more important point - you typically need to give your employer a chance to fix the problems before quitting. This means formally complaining about the harassment or hostile treatment and allowing them reasonable time to address it. Washington ESD will ask about this during adjudication.

0 coins

What counts as 'reasonable time'? I've been dealing with this for months already.

0 coins

It's more about giving them notice of the specific problems and a chance to respond. Even a few days can be sufficient if you document the complaint and their response (or lack thereof).

0 coins

Whatever you decide, file your claim immediately after your last day of work. Don't wait! The sooner you file, the sooner the process starts, even if it goes to adjudication.

0 coins

Smart approach! Keep us updated on how it goes. Hopefully the owner actually listens and addresses the problems.

0 coins

And remember if you do end up needing to contact Washington ESD during the process, Claimyr can save you a lot of headaches trying to get through their phone system.

0 coins

had to wait 10 days for my first payment even though everything looked fine online - just the way their system works unfortunately

0 coins

10 days seems like forever when you're waiting! At least I know it's not just me having this issue.

0 coins

Final suggestion - if your payment is still delayed after checking all these things, document everything (screenshots of your claim status, weekly claim confirmations, etc.) in case you need to escalate the issue or file an appeal later.

0 coins

Good advice! I'll start taking screenshots of everything just in case. Thanks everyone for all the helpful suggestions.

0 coins

Smart thinking - having documentation makes everything easier if you do need to contact them

I've been following this thread and it's been really helpful. I'm in a similar boat - worked 8 weeks at my last job before they eliminated my position. Sounds like I should be fine to apply for unemployment based on my previous work history. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences!

0 coins

Glad this thread helped you too! I'm definitely going to file my claim this week.

0 coins

Good luck to both of you! Remember to file as soon as possible and keep track of your job search activities from day one.

One last tip - make sure you have all your employment information ready when you file. Washington ESD will ask for details about all your employers from the past 18 months, including dates of employment and reasons for leaving. Having that info organized ahead of time makes the application process much smoother.

0 coins

Great advice! I'll gather all that information before I start the application.

Yes, being prepared definitely helps. Also keep copies of any termination paperwork or layoff notices you received.
