If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing - after you file, don't forget you have to file weekly claims to actually receive benefits. The initial filing is just the first step.

Good reminder! I'll make sure to stay on top of the weekly filings.

Had to use Claimyr myself last month when I couldn't reach anyone at ESD about an issue with my job search requirements. Sometimes you just need to talk to a real person and the regular phone system doesn't cut it.

0 coins

The phone system is definitely the weak link in the whole process.

My friend works in HR and she explained it like this: unemployment taxes are just a cost of doing business. Companies budget for them annually just like any other expense. Individual claims don't create surprise bills.

0 coins

That makes total sense. I was picturing my boss getting a bill in the mail with my name on it or something.

0 coins

Haha no, it's much more systematic than that. The state handles all the administration and payment processing.

0 coins

Bottom line: file your claim if you're eligible. Don't worry about your employer having to pay - they're already paying into the system whether you file or not. You earned those benefits through your work.

0 coins

You're absolutely right. I'm going to finish my application today and stop worrying about it.

0 coins

Good for you! That's exactly the right attitude to have.

The consistency of Wednesday payments has been a lifesaver for me. Makes it so much easier to plan bills and grocery shopping around that schedule.

0 coins

Exactly what I was hoping to hear. Predictable income makes everything easier to manage.

0 coins

Same here. I actually moved some of my bill due dates to Thursday so I know the unemployment payment is there first.

0 coins

Just remember that the amount might vary if you had any work during the week. Report all earnings on your weekly claim and the payment adjusts accordingly.

I don't have any work right now, but I'll definitely report accurately if I pick up any odd jobs. Don't want to mess up my benefits.

Don't stress too much about the exact timing. As long as you're actively job searching and following all the requirements, you'll get your full 26 weeks unless something unusual happens with your claim.

0 coins

Thanks, that's reassuring. I guess I just needed to hear that from someone who's been through it.

0 coins

Totally understand the anxiety. The whole process is stressful enough without worrying about timing details.

One last thing - make sure you save copies of all your weekly claim confirmations and any letters from Washington ESD. If there's ever a discrepancy about how many weeks you've used, you'll want that documentation.

0 coins

Good point. I haven't been saving everything but I'll start doing that now.

0 coins

Yeah it's one of those things you don't think about until you need it. Better to have the paperwork and not need it.

My advice based on going through this process multiple times: be completely honest about your seasonal work pattern, keep detailed records of your job search activities, and don't be afraid to take temporary work during your off-season if something comes up. Washington ESD actually likes to see that you're willing to work rather than just waiting for your next seasonal job to start.

0 coins

That's really practical advice. I hadn't thought about taking temporary work but that makes sense to show you're genuinely available.

0 coins

Exactly! Even a few weeks of temporary work can help bridge the gap and shows Washington ESD that you're serious about working. Plus you might discover new opportunities you hadn't considered.

thanks everyone for all the helpful info. this thread has been super useful for understanding the seasonal unemployment process. sounds like the key is being honest, keeping good records, and being genuinely available for work even if you prefer seasonal positions

0 coins

Agreed! I feel much more confident about filing my claim now. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.

Happy to help! The seasonal unemployment process can be confusing but Washington ESD does generally work with people who have legitimate seasonal employment patterns. Good luck with your claim!
