Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Thanks everyone for all the advice! I successfully submitted my Oregon claim and it looks like it went through. Still might contact Washington ESD later to double-check if I had any other options, but at least I have something in the system now.

I work in HR and deal with these interstate situations regularly - the general rule is always file where you earned the wages, but there can be exceptions for military spouses, federal employees, or people who worked in multiple states during their base period. Since you had steady employment in Oregon for two years, that's definitely your liable state. Keep all your documentation from the Oregon filing in case you need it later, and don't worry too much about exploring Washington options unless Oregon runs into issues processing your claim.

If anyone else is dealing with this, definitely keep trying to reach Washington ESD even if it takes multiple attempts. Your benefits shouldn't be held up because your employer didn't do their job properly. There are ways to establish your eligibility even when employers aren't compliant.

I feel your pain! Just went through the same thing earlier today. The incognito mode trick actually worked for me after about 3 tries - sometimes you have to be persistent with it. If that doesn't work, definitely try the mobile version of the site (just go to the same URL on your phone). The automated phone system at 800-318-6022 is also a solid backup if you're really stuck. Don't stress too much about the deadline - like others mentioned, ESD usually accommodates system outages. Just document your attempts with screenshots if possible. Hang in there!

As someone who went through this exact scenario about 6 months ago, I can tell you that the disappearing adjudication notice is usually a good sign! In my case, it meant they had finished reviewing my claim and approved it, but there's always that lag time between their internal decision and when it shows up in your account. One thing I learned is that ESD processes claims in batches, so even though your adjudication might be complete, payments don't always get released immediately. Mine took about 4-5 business days after the notice disappeared to actually see money in my account. The anxiety is totally understandable though - I was checking my account multiple times a day! Just keep filing those weekly claims no matter what, because if there are any issues, stopping your weekly filings can create bigger problems down the road.

Washington's benefit calculation is SO CONFUSING!!! Even with the online calculators I was off by like $200 when I actually got my determination. And be prepared for DELAYS. It took them almost 6 weeks to process my claim even though I had a straightforward layoff with no issues. The system is broken!!!!!
