Just to confirm - you should be able to see your previous weekly claims in the system. Look for "Weekly Claims" or "Weekly Claim History" in the menu. You should see all previous claims with their status. This can help you verify your normal filing pattern and confirm which weeks you've already claimed. Your filing day is determined by ESD and generally doesn't change, but the approval process can sometimes cause temporary system adjustments.
Hey, just checking back - did your weekly claim option ever reappear? Mine came back after about 40 hours, right before I was about to call ESD in a panic!
i had something kinda similar happen last year and the thing that helped me most was getting everything organized before my appeal hearing. i made a timeline with all the events, reports, and my termination with dates, and referenced my evidence for each point (like "see exhibit A for email to HR on 3/5"). the judge seemed to really appreciate having everything laid out clearly because these cases can get complicated and they handle so many appeals. also practice explaining your situation clearly without getting too emotional (hard i know!!) because you want to come across professional in the hearing.
The timeline idea is brilliant! I'm going to start working on that tonight. Did you send all your evidence ahead of time or bring it to the hearing? And how long did your hearing last?
they should give you instructions when they schedule your hearing, but i submitted everything electronically a week before. my hearing was supposed to be 45 mins but went almost 2 hours! make sure to block off extra time just in case. also the timeline really helped me stay focused when i was nervous and talking to the judge.
Update: I talked to the ESD claims specialist today (finally!). They said since my employer is claiming misconduct, my case is being sent to adjudication for further review. They're going to interview both me and my former employer next week. The specialist recommended I upload my documentation showing the timeline of harassment reports and the retaliation that followed. She also said that my case would be stronger if I could get statements from any former coworkers willing to confirm my version of events. Not sure if anyone will be brave enough to speak up though since they're afraid for their own jobs.
thats great progress! for witness statements, maybe reach out to anyone who already left the company? they have nothing to lose. or even just texts/convos where coworkers acknowledged what was happening, like that text you mentioned about nobody speaking up to keep their jobs - that actually helps prove your case!
Just to clarify what's happening with these delayed waiver approvals: In 2024, ESD implemented a new review process for overpayment waivers that had been backlogged during the pandemic recovery period. They're currently processing waivers submitted between June 2023 and April 2025, working through them in batches. For overpayments related to simple reporting errors (like vacation pay misunderstandings), they're typically approving these waivers if: 1. You made a good faith effort to report correctly 2. The error wasn't fraudulent 3. You responded promptly to the overpayment notice When approved, you'll receive a refund of amounts paid plus interest calculated at 1% per month. The deposit usually comes 3-5 business days before the official determination letter appears in your account. This is all perfectly normal and you don't need to worry about them asking for it back unless there was fraud involved in your original claim.
anybody else think its weird that they just drop money in ur account with zero warning? like what if someone closed that bank account or something
my sister in law works at esd and she says funerals count as personal business so u def need to report those days as not available! dont mess it up or they might audit u later
Thanks everyone for the helpful advice. I'll mark "No" for the days I'm out of state and explain it's for a funeral in the comments. It sounds like I'll get partial benefits for that week which is completely fair. I appreciate all the responses!
Good plan. Just remember to keep your job search logs updated for the days you are available that week. You still need to complete job search activities for the days you're available, even in a partial week.

I've seen this pattern hundreds of times while helping people with their claims. Here's what's happening: when multiple adjudication issues exist, ESD adjudicators typically review them all at once. As they clear each issue, they sometimes consolidate any remaining questions into a single adjudication item with an updated timestamp. The fact that the date was updated today is significant - it means an actual human adjudicator is actively working on your claim right now. The reduction from 3 to 1 issue means they've likely resolved 2 of your issues already. Keep watching your account. You'll likely see one of three things happen within 3-7 business days: 1. A determination letter in your notices section 2. The final adjudication disappearing and payment processing 3. A call from the adjudicator if they need any final clarification Don't submit any additional documents unless specifically requested at this point - it can actually slow things down by putting you back in the review queue.

•This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I'll resist the urge to upload more documents (I was about to send in even more proof). I'll watch for those three outcomes you mentioned. Knowing an actual human is looking at my claim gives me some relief!

Did you check if those other adjudication issues show as "resolved" somewhere in your account? Sometimes they don't completely disappear but move to a different section. And DEF mention your eviction notice if you get through to ESD - my friend got her claim expedited because of that exact situation!!

•Great point about checking for resolved issues. In the eServices portal, sometimes resolved adjudications move to the "Decisions" section rather than disappearing entirely. This is another good indicator that progress is happening on the claim.
