ESD Claims Specialist here. The 'Processing-Web' status means your weekly claim is in the payment queue but hasn't been fully processed yet. This can happen for several reasons: 1. High volume of claims being processed that week 2. Random verification flag on your account (happens periodically) 3. System maintenance or technical issues 4. A potential issue that needs adjudication If it's been more than 3 business days, I recommend calling the claims center. Be prepared with your claim ID and the week ending date for the payment in question. They can see exactly where in the process your payment is stuck and potentially expedite it. Also, make sure you've completed all your weekly job search activities correctly, as missing or incomplete job search logs can cause payment delays.
To address your specific issue with February payments - there was a known issue with the payment system during the February 12-18 processing week that affected many claimants. If your missing payments are from that period, there's a special resolution process. For the phone issues, there are a few technical approaches that can help: 1. When calling at 8am, dial the last digit exactly as the clock hits 8:00:00, not before 2. If disconnected, wait 2-3 minutes before trying again (immediate redials often get filtered) 3. Try using a different phone if possible - some VoIP or cell services get lower priority 4. If you receive the high call volume message, stay on the line completely silent until the automated system finishes - sometimes it will still transfer you Also, if your claim is specifically related to missing February payments, the direct line for payment issues is 833-572-8400, which sometimes has shorter wait times than the main line.
Just wanted to follow up - did you have any luck getting through? The February payment issue has been a major headache for so many people.
Actually I got through today! Used the special payment issues number at 10:20am like someone suggested. Took about 45 minutes on hold but finally spoke to a person. Turns out the Feb payment issue was because of the system update they did - my identity verification got flagged for no reason. The agent fixed it right on the call and said I should see the payments in 2-3 business days. SO relieved!
my friend had a similar situation and tried that claimyr thing someone mentioned and it actually worked for her! she said it was expensive tho but worth it cuz she finally got her money. good luck!!
Thanks! I'm going to try the free options first (WorkSource, hardship request, messaging portal) but if those don't work in the next couple days, I might try Claimyr as a last resort before rent is due.
One more thing - while you're waiting for your ESD claim to process, you should immediately apply for emergency assistance through DSHS Community Services Office for help with your rent. Since you're facing possible eviction, you may qualify for emergency assistance even while your unemployment claim is pending. You can also contact 211 for referrals to local rent assistance programs. Don't wait until you're behind - apply for these programs now.
anybody else notice that ESD seems to be checking job search logs more carefully lately??? my friend got audited and had to provide proof of all her applications from the past 8 weeks or they were gonna cut her benefits!!
Yes, ESD has increased job search verification in 2025. They're now randomly selecting approximately 15% of claimants for detailed job search reviews. This is why it's crucial to maintain thorough records of all job search activities - save confirmation emails from applications, take screenshots of submitted applications, and keep detailed notes of networking conversations. The job search log in your ESD account should be treated as an official document.
UPDATE: I wanted to thank everyone for the advice and support. I've implemented several suggestions - updated my resume with current keywords, reached out to my network, and called ESD about additional resources (using Claimyr really did help bypass the phone nightmare). I've got two promising interviews next week, one from a former colleague's referral. I'm also researching the SEAP program as a potential option. Will let you all know how things progress, but I'm feeling much more optimistic now. This community has been incredibly helpful during a really tough time.

Just to add some clarification about what's actually happening: When claims get stuck, it's often because they're flagged for manual review but haven't been assigned to an adjudicator due to backlog. What the Governor's office does is essentially flag your claim for priority handling, moving it to the front of the queue. It's not that they're suddenly approving claims that weren't valid - they're just ensuring someone actually looks at your claim sooner rather than later. This is why it's important that your claim is legitimate and all documentation is already uploaded. They won't approve anything that doesn't qualify, but they will make sure it gets reviewed promptly.

•That makes a lot of sense. I definitely had all my documentation ready and had done everything right. It just seemed like my claim was sitting in a digital pile somewhere that nobody was looking at. Thanks for explaining how the process works!

My BFF works at ESD (don't want to say which office lol) and she says they're still super understaffed since covid. Like they lost a ton of experienced people and the new folks are still learning the system. That's why so many claims get stuck - the complicated ones need experienced staff to review them but there aren't enough to go around. She actually suggested the governor's office trick to me before when my neighbor was having issues!

•So they KNOW the system is broken but instead of fixing it they just tell people to call the governor?? That's even worse! If they know they're understaffed they should HIRE MORE PEOPLE with all the money they're saving by delaying our claims!
