If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Bookmarking this thread. Sounds like I might need that service when my claim runs out next month.

Yeah, definitely worth knowing about ahead of time. Wish I had found it sooner.

Final update: Got my new claim submitted! Says it will take 2-3 weeks to process. Thanks everyone for walking me through this. Much less scary when you know what to expect.

0 coins

Awesome! Make sure you file your weekly claims even while it's processing.

0 coins

Will do. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly from here.

Also check if your state has any additional pregnancy-related support programs. Washington has some good family support services that might help supplement your unemployment benefits.

0 coins

I'll look into that. Every little bit helps right now.

0 coins

Definitely. WIC, SNAP, and other programs can help bridge the gap while you're dealing with reduced income.

Good luck with your claim! The process can be confusing but don't give up. You have rights and protections, even while pregnant. Keep all your documentation and don't hesitate to ask for help if you get stuck.

Thank you so much everyone! I feel much more confident about filing now. I'll start the application tonight.

I work in HR and deal with Washington ESD calculations for our laid-off employees. The formula is definitely the two highest quarters divided by 52 weeks. But there are minimum and maximum amounts that can override the calculation.

0 coins

What are the minimum and maximum amounts for 2025? My calculation came out to exactly $487 so I'm wondering if that hit some kind of limit.

0 coins

I believe the minimum is around $295 and maximum is $999 for 2025, but you should verify those numbers with Washington ESD directly.

This whole thread has been super helpful! I was totally confused about how Washington ESD calculated my $623 weekly amount but now I understand it's based on my two highest quarters. Going to dig up my pay stubs and do the math myself.

0 coins

Good idea to double-check! I found an error in mine when I did the calculation myself.

0 coins

Yeah definitely worth verifying. Thanks everyone for explaining this stuff!

The 26-week thing is pretty standard across most states. What varies is the weekly amount and total you can collect based on your previous earnings. Washington actually has pretty decent benefits compared to some other states.

0 coins

That's somewhat reassuring. I was worried Washington might be stingier than other places.

0 coins

Yeah the maximum weekly benefit in Washington is like $999 which is way higher than states like Florida or Arizona.

0 coins

Just remember that once your benefit year expires (52 weeks from when you first filed), you'd have to file a new claim if you're still unemployed. But you'd need to have worked and earned wages since your last claim to qualify for a new benefit year.

0 coins

So if I'm still unemployed after a year, I can't just keep collecting on the same claim?

0 coins

Correct. You'd need to have worked and earned sufficient wages to establish a new claim. Otherwise your unemployment benefits would be exhausted.

Quick practical tip: when you write your appeal statement, use the phrase 'constructive discharge' or 'constructive dismissal' - it's the legal term for when working conditions become so bad you have no choice but to quit. Hearing officers recognize this terminology.

0 coins

Thanks for the specific wording. I wasn't sure how to phrase it legally.

0 coins

Exactly. Using the right terminology can make a big difference in how your case is perceived.

Final update from me - I actually got through to Washington ESD this morning using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier. The agent confirmed that hour reductions can qualify as good cause and walked me through what I need for my appeal. Definitely filing it this week!

0 coins

Excellent news. Make sure to reference that conversation in your appeal if the agent gave you specific guidance.

Wait, that was me posting the update - I meant to update everyone. Thanks for all the help, this thread has been incredibly useful!
