Quick question - did you get any kind of severance or final paycheck weirdness when you quit? Sometimes employers try to mess with your final pay when you quit for harassment reasons.
Final reminder - make sure you have all your personal documents organized before filing. You'll need your Social Security number, previous employer information, and details about your last day of work. Having everything ready will make the application process smoother.
Last thing I'll add - if you need to verify your payment status or have any issues, calling Washington ESD directly is nearly impossible. I tried using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and it actually worked great. Got connected to an agent who could see my payment history and explain the timing.
Just to close the loop on the original question - you should definitely see your payment by Thursday at the latest if you filed Sunday. If you don't see it by Friday, then there's probably an issue that needs to be resolved.
One more tip - if you're filing online, do it early in the morning or late at night when the system is less busy. I've found it runs smoother during off-peak hours.
This thread has been super helpful! I was getting worried because it's been 5 days with no word, but it sounds like that's pretty normal. Going to check for those specific approval indicators mentioned earlier.
One last tip - screenshot everything once you're approved! Save images of your determination letter, benefit amount, claim balance, etc. It's good to have records in case there are any system glitches later.

Just want to add that if you do end up approved for both, make sure you understand the reporting requirements. You'll likely need to report any disability income to Washington ESD and vice versa.

•Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't thought about the ongoing reporting requirements but that's definitely important to know.

•Yeah, failing to report income from other sources is one of the quickest ways to get in trouble with unemployment benefits.

Thanks everyone for all the responses. This has been really helpful in understanding the complexity of the situation. I think I have a better idea now of what questions to ask when I contact Washington ESD.
