If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! I feel much more confident about my eligibility now. This thread answered way more questions than the Washington ESD website did.

Glad we could help! The Washington ESD website can be pretty confusing to navigate.

This is why forums like this are so valuable. Real people explaining things in plain English!

One last tip - if you do apply and get approved, make sure you understand the weekly claim requirements from day one. It's easy to mess up your first few claims if you don't know what you're doing.

0 coins

Good point! I'll make sure to read up on that process if I get approved.

0 coins

The weekly claims are pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it, but the first one can be confusing.

I think there might be some retraining programs through WorkSource if you want to learn new skills? Not sure if that helps with benefits though

0 coins

Training programs don't extend your UI benefits, but some programs do provide additional support while you're training. Worth looking into if you qualify.

0 coins

Bottom line is if you don't qualify for a new claim, you're done after 26 weeks unless federal extensions get passed which isn't happening anytime soon. Start planning for life after benefits now.

0 coins

Yeah I'm starting to accept that reality. Thanks everyone for the advice, at least now I know what to expect.

0 coins

Bottom line - be honest in your application, keep good records, and don't be afraid to seek help if you need it. The system is complicated but there are people who can guide you through it.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. This has been really helpful in understanding what I might be facing.

Good luck with your application! Just remember to clearly explain how the scheduling issues created an unreasonable hardship that made continuing employment impossible.

One more thing - if you end up needing to call Washington ESD and can't get through the regular way, I had success with Claimyr too. Worth having in your back pocket if you hit roadblocks. The video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ shows exactly how it works.

I bookmarked that link just in case. Hopefully I won't need it but good to have options.

Based on what you described in your original post, it sounds like you should qualify. Reduction of hours to the point where you can't sustain yourself is typically considered good cause for leaving. Just make sure you have documentation showing your hour reduction when you apply.

0 coins

Thank you! I do have my old schedules showing the reduction in hours. I feel more confident about applying now after reading everyone's responses.

0 coins

You're welcome! Good luck with your claim. The process can be stressful but it sounds like you have a strong case.

One last tip - file your claim as soon as possible. You can't get benefits for weeks before you file, so don't wait thinking you might find a job quickly. You can always stop filing weekly claims if you find work.

0 coins

That's great advice. I was hesitant to file because I thought it might hurt my chances of getting hired somewhere, but I need the income while I'm job searching.

0 coins

Exactly! There's no shame in using a safety net that you've paid into through your payroll taxes. That's what it's there for.

For those still having trouble reaching agencies for clarification, I used Claimyr successfully to get through to Washington ESD when I had questions about how state payments affect my federal credit. Worth checking out if you're stuck.

0 coins

I've been hesitant to use third-party services for tax questions. Do they actually know what they're talking about?

0 coins

They don't give tax advice - they just help you reach the actual agency representatives who can answer your specific questions.

0 coins

Bottom line: track federal and Washington ESD separately, pay quarterly if over $500 federal liability, and don't assume the agencies coordinate with each other. Keep good records of everything.

This thread has been more helpful than hours of googling. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences.

Agreed! I feel much more confident about handling both the federal and Washington ESD requirements now.
