If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

This thread should be pinned! I see this question come up constantly and you all gave such clear explanations. The waiting week is confusing for everyone when they first file.

Totally agree. This is way more helpful than trying to decode the official Washington ESD explanation.

Just wanted to follow up - for anyone who's still confused about their specific situation, I really recommend using Claimyr to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD. Sometimes you need to clarify whether you're in a waiting week situation or if there's an actual problem with your claim that needs to be resolved.

0 coins

How quickly were you able to get through using that service?

0 coins

Much faster than trying to call on my own. The regular phone lines are usually swamped but Claimyr helps you actually reach an agent who can look at your specific claim details.

Question - if they get approved for benefits initially but I appeal and win, do I get credit back on my account for those charges?

0 coins

Yes, if Washington ESD reverses the decision after your appeal, those benefit charges should be removed from your experience rating account. It's like the claim never happened for tax calculation purposes.

0 coins

Good to know. Makes it worth fighting if you have a solid case.

Just want to add that if you're not sure about the process, Washington ESD has employer resources on their website that explain everything. Better to understand your rights and responsibilities upfront than scramble after someone files a claim.

0 coins

Exactly. Be proactive and thorough. The worst thing you can do is ignore Washington ESD's requests for information.

0 coins

And remember, if you need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD about your specific situation, services like Claimyr can save you hours of hold time. Sometimes a quick conversation can clear up confusion about the process.

Thanks everyone for all the info! This thread has been super helpful. Feeling more confident about filing my claim now that I understand the benefit structure better.

0 coins

Good luck with your claim! The process has definitely improved over the years, even if there are still some rough spots.

0 coins

Agreed, this was exactly what I needed to know. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to explain everything.

Final tip - make sure you have direct deposit set up when you file. Paper checks take forever and can get lost in the mail. Electronic payments are much faster and more reliable.

0 coins

Yes! And double-check your bank account info is correct. A typo there can really delay your payments.

0 coins

Exactly. Small details like that can make a big difference in how smoothly everything goes.

0 coins

If you're worried about your case, you might want to talk to someone at Washington ESD directly. I know their phone lines are swamped, but there are services like Claimyr that can help you get through. Worth having that conversation before you assume you won't qualify.

0 coins

Yeah, I keep hearing about that service. Might be worth trying if I do get fired.

0 coins

Definitely. Better to get accurate information from an actual Washington ESD agent than to worry based on assumptions.

0 coins

Bottom line: in Washington state, you're innocent until proven guilty when it comes to unemployment eligibility. The burden is on your employer to prove misconduct, not on you to prove you deserve benefits. File your claim and let the system work.

0 coins

That makes me feel a lot better about the situation. Thank you everyone for all the helpful responses!

0 coins

Good luck with everything. Most people who get fired do qualify for benefits, so try not to stress too much about it.

I work in HR and see this confusion a lot. The short answer is: if you worked for an employer who paid into the unemployment insurance system and you lost your job through no fault of your own, you can probably file. The wage requirements eliminate people who barely worked, but most people with steady part-time or full-time employment will qualify.

0 coins

What about people who work for really small companies? Do all employers pay into the system?

0 coins

Most employers are required to pay unemployment insurance taxes, but there are some exceptions for very small employers or certain types of workers. When in doubt, apply - Washington ESD will verify your wage records.

This thread has been super helpful! I was laid off from my restaurant job two weeks ago and wasn't sure if my part-time status would disqualify me. Sounds like I should definitely apply. One more question - do I need to file weekly claims even while my initial application is being processed?

0 coins

And if you run into issues reaching ESD during the process, remember that Claimyr service I mentioned earlier. Really helped me stay on top of my claim status.

0 coins

Thanks everyone! I'm going to apply today.
