If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The Claimyr thing really does work well. I was skeptical at first but it got me through to Washington ESD in like 10 minutes instead of calling all day.

That sounds way better than what I've heard about trying to call normally.

0 coins

Yeah, the regular phone lines are basically impossible. This actually gets you to a real person who can help.

0 coins

Bottom line - you need work in at least 2 quarters and minimum earnings. If you've been working full time for 8 months, you probably qualify unless there were gaps in your employment.

0 coins

No gaps, been working steady. Feeling a bit more confident now.

0 coins

You should be fine then. The 8 months of steady full-time work should easily meet the requirements.

Pro tip: when you file your initial claim, be completely honest about the circumstances of your termination. Don't try to hide anything or sugarcoat it. Washington ESD will find out the truth anyway when they contact your employer, and being dishonest could hurt your credibility.

0 coins

This is so important. I've seen people get denied just because they weren't upfront about why they were fired, even when they would have qualified if they'd been honest.

0 coins

Good point. I'll make sure to explain the whole situation accurately, including the safety complaints I made.

Also remember that while you're waiting for your claim to be processed, you should still be actively job searching and keeping records. If you get approved, they might ask for your job search log going back to when you first filed. Don't wait until you're approved to start looking for work.

0 coins

I've been looking but not keeping detailed records. What kind of information should I track?

0 coins

Xan Dae

Date, employer name, position applied for, method of contact, and any follow-up. Keep it simple but detailed enough to show you're making genuine efforts to find work.

This thread has been really helpful. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences with Washington ESD during tough economic times. At least we're all in this together.

0 coins

Agreed! It's good to know what to expect and that delays are normal during recessions. Makes me feel less anxious about my pending claim.

0 coins

Yeah, forums like this are sometimes more helpful than the official Washington ESD guidance.

0 coins

One last tip - if you're dealing with Washington ESD during a recession, be extra patient with phone representatives. They're probably dealing with way more stressed callers than usual.

0 coins

Good point. The representatives are people too and they're probably overwhelmed.

0 coins

True, but that doesn't excuse the systemic issues. We still deserve timely service.

For anyone who's still unsure about their specific situation, definitely try to get through to Washington ESD directly. I used a service called Claimyr that helped me get connected, and the agent was able to look at my exact work history and tell me definitively whether I qualified. Way better than guessing based on online calculators.

0 coins

That seems to be the consensus - talk to an actual person rather than trying to figure it out yourself.

0 coins

Exactly. The automated systems and websites can only tell you so much. A real person can look at your specific situation and give you a definitive answer.

0 coins

Bottom line: if you've been working fairly regularly for at least 6-8 months and earning decent wages, you'll probably qualify. The specific quarter requirements are mostly to catch people who barely worked or earned very little.

0 coins

That's reassuring. I think I've been overthinking it.

0 coins

Most people who are genuinely worried about qualifying actually do qualify. It's usually the people who don't think about it at all who run into problems.

0 coins

honestly the hardest part isn't figuring out the benefit amount its dealing with washington esd customer service when you have problems. good luck getting through to anyone

0 coins

That's exactly why services like Claimyr exist. Sometimes you just need to talk to a real person to get things sorted out.

0 coins

Hope this thread helped answer your question! The benefit amount calculation can seem complicated but Washington ESD does a decent job of explaining it once you get into the system.

0 coins

Definitely helped a lot! I feel much more prepared now if I need to file for unemployment benefits.
