If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just want to echo what others said about keeping good records. Washington ESD can ask for documentation of your job search activities so save everything - applications, email confirmations, notes from interviews, etc.

Should I be documenting this stuff starting now even before my claim is approved?

0 coins

Absolutely! Better to have too much documentation than not enough if they ever audit your claim.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! This thread has been way more useful than the Washington ESD website for understanding how the benefit amounts work.

0 coins

Agreed! I feel much more prepared to file my claim now. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to share their experiences.

Glad we could help! Good luck with your claim and job search.

For anyone wondering, you can find more info about REA on the WorkSourceWA website. They have a whole section explaining the program and what to expect.

0 coins

Perfect, I'll check that out. Thanks for all the helpful info everyone!

0 coins

One more thing - if you're selected for REA and you find a job before your appointment, you still need to let them know. Don't just skip the appointment because you got hired.

Good advice! Better to communicate than risk any issues with your final benefit payments.

Final piece of advice - file your return even if you can't pay what you owe right away. The penalty for not filing is much higher than the penalty for not paying on time. You can always work out a payment arrangement after you file.

0 coins

That's really important to know. I was worried about filing if I couldn't pay the full amount.

0 coins

Definitely file on time. The IRS is usually willing to work with people who file their returns and make an effort to pay, even if they can't pay everything at once.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice. I feel much better about tackling this tax situation now. Going to gather all my documents this weekend and either do it myself or find a tax preparer to help me out.

Good luck! Remember, lots of people go through this same situation, so don't stress too much about it.

Same here - thanks to everyone who shared their experiences. This thread has been incredibly helpful!

This happened to my neighbor and it turned out Washington ESD had flagged her account for some kind of review. The payments were being held until they finished investigating something about her job separation. She had no idea until she finally got through to someone.

I don't think it shows up anywhere obvious in your online account. That's why you really need to talk to someone at Washington ESD directly.

0 coins

They're terrible about communicating when there are problems. You basically have to call and ask specifically about payment holds.

0 coins

Check if you have any outstanding issues on your Washington ESD account that might be holding up payments. Sometimes there are requests for additional information that aren't obvious when you log in.

0 coins

I've looked through everything and don't see any pending issues or requests for information.

0 coins

The system doesn't always show everything that's happening behind the scenes. That's another reason why talking to an agent is so important.

Just wanted to add that you should keep filing your weekly claims even while your initial claim is under review. If you get approved, you'll get paid for all those weeks retroactively. If you don't file the weekly claims, you won't get paid for those weeks even if approved.

0 coins

Good to know! I would have probably waited until I got approved to start filing weekly claims.

0 coins

Yeah, that's a common mistake that costs people money. File everything right away and let Washington ESD sort it out.

The bottom line is that performance-related terminations are usually eligible for benefits. Washington ESD distinguishes between being fired for misconduct (which disqualifies you) and being fired for other reasons like performance or not being a good fit (which usually doesn't disqualify you). File your claim and let them make the determination.

Good luck! Hope everything works out for you.

You've got this! The worst they can do is say no, but based on what you've described, you'll probably be approved.
