If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

If you're still having trouble getting information from Washington ESD directly, that Claimyr service mentioned earlier is worth checking out. I used it last month when I needed to talk to someone about my claim status and it saved me hours of trying to call.

I might try that if I run into any issues with my claim. Better than spending all day redialing Washington ESD.

Same here, I couldn't believe how fast they got me connected to an actual person at Washington ESD.

Bottom line: file your claim if you're eligible, don't let your employer guilt trip you, and remember that you've earned this benefit through your work. The system exists for exactly this situation.

Thank you everyone for all the explanations! I feel much better about filing now and won't let my ex-boss make me feel guilty about it.

0 coins

That's the right attitude! Good luck with your claim.

Good luck OP! The process seems overwhelming at first but it's really not too bad once you get started. Just take it step by step and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.

Thanks! I'm going to file first thing tomorrow morning. Really appreciate everyone's advice.

One final reminder - make sure to file your weekly claims every week even if your initial claim is still being processed. You can't go back and claim weeks you missed, so don't skip any.

0 coins

Got it, I'll set a reminder on my phone to file every Sunday.

Smart move. Consistency is key with the weekly claims.

fwiw i know someone who got a job right after the last wage increase. company said they were hiring because they expected more business from people having more spending money. its not all doom and gloom

0 coins

That's encouraging! I hadn't thought about the increased consumer spending angle.

Bottom line - you can't control wage policy but you can control your job search strategy. Focus on networking, tailoring your applications, and following up with employers. That's what will make the difference in your success.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I feel much better about just focusing on my search rather than worrying about things I can't control.

Good luck with your search! The job market can be tough but persistence pays off.

I had to use that Claimyr service too when I couldn't get through to ESD about my benefit duration. Worth every penny when you're stressed about your claim. The peace of mind of actually talking to someone who can give you real answers is huge.

Seems like a lot of people have had success with it. Might be worth keeping in mind if I run into issues.

0 coins

Definitely. It's there if you need it, and honestly it's probably cheaper than the stress of trying to get through on your own.

Bottom line: 26 weeks maximum for regular UI benefits in Washington. No extensions currently available. Make sure you meet job search requirements and file your weekly claims on time. Focus on finding work within that timeframe and you should be fine.

Perfect summary, thank you. This thread has been really helpful for understanding what to expect.

Glad it helped. Good luck with your job search!

Remember that you have to be actively looking for work to keep getting benefits. Washington ESD requires 3 job search activities per week and they do check up on it sometimes.

0 coins

Applying for jobs, networking events, career fairs, updating your resume, job interviews all count. You have to log them in the WorkSourceWA system.

0 coins

I got audited on my job search log and had to provide proof of all my activities. Keep good records of everything you do.

The weekly benefit amount stays the same throughout your claim period. It doesn't change based on how long you've been unemployed or anything like that. You get the same amount each week until you hit your maximum benefit amount or find work.

0 coins

That's good to know for budgeting purposes. At least I can count on a consistent amount each week.

0 coins

Yep, makes it easier to plan your finances. Just remember if you do any part-time work, that week's benefit will be reduced by the amount you earned.
