If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Quick question - does anyone know if you can collect unemployment if you're getting severance pay? My restaurant gave me two weeks severance but I'm not sure if that affects my eligibility.

It's a lump sum but they said it's for the two weeks after my last day. I'll probably need to call Washington ESD to clarify.

That's exactly the type of question Claimyr can help you get answered quickly. Calling on your own could take forever to get through.

thanks everyone for all the helpful info. this thread has been way more useful than the washington esd website lol. at least now i have a better idea of what to expect

That's what these forums are for - helping each other navigate the system. Good luck with your claim!

definitely. hope everyone here gets their claims sorted out quickly

I went through something similar and won my appeal. The key was showing that reasonable person would have quit under those circumstances. Your hour reduction sounds even more extreme than mine was.

0 coins

That's exactly what I'm hoping to prove. A 75% hour reduction isn't sustainable for anyone.

0 coins

definitely not, especially with gas and commute costs making those few hours barely worthwhile

0 coins

One more tip - if you have any medical conditions or family obligations that made the reduced schedule particularly problematic, mention those in your appeal. It adds to the 'good cause' argument.

I do have a child in daycare, and the reduced hours actually made it harder to afford childcare while working so little.

0 coins

Perfect example! That's definitely relevant to include in your appeal documentation.

I used Claimyr last month when I needed to update my information quickly for an apartment application. Super easy process and they called me back within like 20 minutes. Way better than the usual Washington ESD phone nightmare.

0 coins

That's the second mention of Claimyr. Sounds like it really works for getting through to Washington ESD.

0 coins

Yeah it's been a lifesaver. Especially when you need quick responses for time-sensitive stuff like housing applications.

Update us on how your apartment search goes! Always curious to hear real experiences with this situation.

Will do! Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice. Feeling much more confident about the process now.

Good luck with your search! Having all the right documentation ready will definitely help.

The key is to file your claim as soon as possible after losing your job. You can't get benefits for weeks before you file, even if you were eligible. I waited too long and lost out on a few weeks of benefits.

0 coins

I'm planning to file this week. Is there anything else I should know before I start the application?

0 coins

Have your employment history ready - dates, addresses, and reasons for leaving each job. The application asks for detailed information about your work history.

0 coins

Used Claimyr again yesterday to get clarification on benefit amounts for a friend who was confused about the calculation. The agent explained that part-time work while on unemployment reduces your benefits dollar-for-dollar after the first $5. Good to know if you're planning to take any part-time work while collecting.

0 coins

That's useful information. I might need to do some part-time work to make ends meet.

0 coins

Just make sure you report it accurately on your weekly claims. Better to be transparent than risk an overpayment issue later.

The Washington ESD website has a good checklist of what you need before filing. Make sure you have your Social Security number, driver's license, and employment history for the last 18 months ready.

0 coins

18 months? I thought it was just the most recent job.

0 coins

Nope, they look at your entire base period which covers multiple quarters. You need all employers from that time frame.

0 coins

honestly just file it today and figure out the details as you go. the longer you wait the more money you're potentially losing. worst case you can always correct information later if needed.

0 coins

You're right, I'm overthinking this. Going to file right now before I talk myself out of it.

0 coins

That's the spirit! Better to have it in the system and working than to keep waiting.
