Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who shared their experiences. It helps to know I'm not alone in dealing with this situation.
One thing I learned is to start preparing for benefit exhaustion well before it happens. Don't wait until the last minute to explore your options.
This whole thread has been incredibly helpful. I bookmarked it for next year when I'll inevitably forget how to do this again!
Perfect timing on this thread - I'm setting up payroll for a new client and needed to know exactly this information. Washington ESD limits are definitely something to double-check every year.
One more vote for filing immediately! I was laid off on a Friday and filed that same day. Had my first payment within 10 days. The key is not to overthink it - just file as soon as you're eligible.
Last thing I'll add - if you run into any problems during the application process or need to talk to someone at Washington ESD afterward, don't give up after a few failed phone calls. Keep trying different times of day, or look into services like Claimyr that can help you get through to an actual person.
Quick reminder that if you run into any issues after filing, the Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical at first but they got me through to Washington ESD when I couldn't reach anyone for weeks. Worth checking out their demo video if you end up needing to talk to someone.
Final advice from someone who's been through this twice - file immediately, don't stress about having every detail perfect, and make sure you understand the weekly filing requirements. Those three things will set you up for success with Washington ESD.

The key is making sure Washington ESD has accurate wage records from all your employers. I had to contact them because one of my previous jobs wasn't showing up and it was affecting my benefit calculation.

•How do you check if they have all your wage records?

•You can see some of it in your eServices account, but for the complete picture you really need to talk to an agent.

Bottom line - if you made good money in your base period quarters, you'll probably get close to the maximum. Just file as soon as you're unemployed and be patient with the system. It works eventually, even if it's frustrating.
