One more tip - if your employer does contest your claim and you disagree with the initial decision, you can appeal. Don't give up if the first decision doesn't go your way.
Update us on how it goes! I'm sure other people will be in similar situations and your experience could help them.
I use Claimyr whenever I need to talk to Washington ESD about payment issues. So much easier than trying to call directly. They helped me sort out a direct deposit problem that was causing payment delays.
One more thing to remember: Washington ESD sends payment confirmations via email or through your online account. Check there first if you're not sure whether your payment processed.
Bottom line - if you get let go, file immediately and let Washington ESD make the determination. Don't second-guess yourself about whether you qualify. Better to apply and get denied than not apply and miss out on benefits you were entitled to.
Just want to add that if you do end up needing to contact Washington ESD with questions, I also had success with Claimyr after reading about it here. The regular phone lines are basically impossible but their service got me through within 20 minutes. The demo video they have explains it pretty well.
Don't forget that Washington ESD offers some retraining programs if you want to learn new skills while on unemployment. The programs can extend your benefits in some cases, but you have to get approved first.
Been through this process twice now. My advice is to file immediately after losing your job, keep meticulous records of everything, and don't wait to contact Washington ESD if you have any issues with your claim. The longer you wait, the harder it becomes to resolve problems.

The two-quarter requirement is pretty standard across most states, but the earnings thresholds vary. Washington's requirements are actually pretty reasonable compared to some other places.

•Good to know! I was worried it might be really hard to qualify working part-time, but it sounds like it's doable if you work consistently.

•Yeah, as long as you're earning decent wages in those quarters, part-time work can definitely qualify you. The key is consistency and meeting those earnings thresholds.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! I feel like I understand the requirements much better now. Hopefully I won't need to use this information, but it's good to know where I stand.

•You're welcome! It's always smart to understand your benefits before you need them.

•Agreed. Most people don't think about unemployment until they're already unemployed, which makes everything more stressful.
