TWC regular unemployment approval timeline - stuck in 'under review' for 2+ weeks

mine took almost 4 weeks to get approved! applied back in May and it was just 'under review' forever. So frustrating esp when bills keep coming. they never tell u why it takes so long either

THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN BY DESIGN!!!! They make you wait forever hoping you'll give up or get a job before they have to pay you. My claim took 6 WEEKS to approve and ONLY GOT APPROVED after I contacted my state representative's office. DO THIS NOW, don't wait like I did. Call your state rep and explain your situation - they have special contacts at TWC who can push your claim through.

My sister just went through this last month. Her claim was under review for almost 3 weeks then suddenly got approved with no explanation. She got all her back payments at once two days later. Don't forget to keep submitting your payment requests every two weeks even while waiting for approval!

make sure ur checking ur spam folder for emails from TWC too! i missed a request for additional info and it delayed my claim by like 2 weeks 🤦‍♀️

Just wanted to update that based on recent reports from other claimants, TWC seems to be experiencing higher than normal processing times for regular unemployment claims right now. I've heard from several people who waited 4-5 weeks for approval in July and August. If you're approaching week 4 with no changes, that's when I'd recommend trying to reach someone by phone or through your state representative.
