NYS Department of Labor phone number to file weekly unemployment claim - can't find it anywhere

I've been searching everywhere for the NYS Department of Labor phone number to file my weekly claim and I'm getting frustrated. The website keeps directing me to file online but my computer crashed last week and I'm using my phone which won't load the my.ny.gov portal properly. I know there used to be a phone system for weekly claims but I can't find the current number anywhere. Does anyone know the direct line to file weekly unemployment claims by phone? I'm worried I'm going to miss my filing deadline.

The main NYS Department of Labor number is 1-888-209-8124 but honestly the phone system for weekly claims has been really unreliable. Most people are being pushed to file online through my.ny.gov. Have you tried using a different browser or clearing your cache? Sometimes that helps with the portal loading issues.

I had the same problem last month when my laptop died. The phone system for weekly claims is super limited now - they really want everyone filing online. You can try the main line but expect long wait times and they might just tell you to go online anyway.

It's more for reaching actual agents when you have issues or questions. For weekly filing specifically, they'll probably still direct you to the online portal, but at least you could talk to someone about your login problems.

honestly the whole phone system is a joke now, they've made it nearly impossible to do anything without going online. even when you do get through they just read you the same info thats on the website

Try going to a local library if you can't get the online filing to work on your phone. Most libraries have computers you can use and the my.ny.gov portal works better on desktop browsers. That's what I did when I was having similar issues.
